wsnydes Old-Timey Member Posted April 22, 2018 Posted April 22, 2018 And this was a good game to rest Sano....why? Doesn't matter what Sano is doing (as long as he's playing a serviceable 3B, which he has been...because you're replacing him in the lineup with Adrianza...in a game you know you're going to have to score a bunch...and he had shown signs of making decent contact the previous game...and he's the number one guy you need to get going...and...You forgot to close your parentheses.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted April 22, 2018 Posted April 22, 2018 Either I've not had enough Scotch because this makes a lot of sense or this makes a lot of sense because I've had too much Scotch. Molitor loves Scotch.
jkcarew Verified Member Posted April 22, 2018 Posted April 22, 2018 You forgot to close your parentheses.Sorry. I ran out of breath.
Blake Verified Member Posted April 22, 2018 Posted April 22, 2018 For the record, I don't consider myself old. Old is always 15 yrs older than me.Yeah, I hear that.
wsnydes Old-Timey Member Posted April 22, 2018 Posted April 22, 2018 Sorry. I ran out of breath.Very understandable!
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted April 22, 2018 Posted April 22, 2018 Luckily we can't be mad at Eddie for grounding out because we're still too stunned by the Magellan-esque voyage of his throw to the infield. I know that some will look at that throw and be upset with his lack of baseball IQ. However... Personally I'd rather have an error of enthusiasm over an error of un-enthusiasm, umm... non-enthusiasm, or... whatever the opposite of enthusiasm is.

wsnydes Old-Timey Member Posted April 22, 2018 Posted April 22, 2018 Great minds... I'd prefer him to have a celebratory Scotch instead of an "I've got to put together a lineup" Scotch though.

Blake Verified Member Posted April 22, 2018 Posted April 22, 2018 Bonus points for throwing to the CORRECT base though right?Baby steps, baby steps..
wsnydes Old-Timey Member Posted April 22, 2018 Posted April 22, 2018 Baby steps, baby steps..That's why they're bonus points. Positive reinforcement for doing the correct thing.

I haven't been noticing those signs of decent contact. I'd sit him with a message to try and get his head right for the Yankees series and I'd tell him that he has Grossman ready to hit in the 3 spot again if he doesn't get things turned around pronto. Sano has been walking up to the plate with no plan whatsoever from what I can tell. You gotta fix him and sometimes you fix him by letting him know there are consequences.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted April 22, 2018 Posted April 22, 2018 My god... Trevor Plouffe has really let himself go.
wsnydes Old-Timey Member Posted April 22, 2018 Posted April 22, 2018 Wait a second... Morrison gets a hit AND it hits 60 degrees in the metro on the same day?! What backwards world are we living in?!
LaBombo Verified Member Posted April 22, 2018 Posted April 22, 2018 My god... Trevor Plouffe has really let himself go. I think maybe it's just the glasses that make him look older.
