Twins Overhauling Ticket Prices

According to the Star Tribune, the Twins are overhauling their ticket structure and prices for next season.  Initially, I was a bit worried that they were going to gouge the season ticket holders some more, but after further research I found that my current seats would actually go down by $90/seat.

The changes look logical

I thought so too.  Generally speaking, having the seats closer to the field get more expensive within the section makes much more sense even from a ticket buyers standpoint.

How the hell are we supposed to complain about the Pohlads with this!?

Where there's a will, there's a way!  :)

To be fair, they aren't exactly in a position to raise prices when they're already staring down such low attendance. Officially attendance is around 25,200/game but there were a lot of games the first few months that were drastically less than the reported numbers. They'll still finish solidy in the bottom 10 of the league even with a late-season bump from wildcard contention. Let's see how this shakes out for the following season if they make the playoffs and start next year strong.

Also quite true. And since I only make it back to the stadium now once or twice a year I have no reason not to hope that they put themselves in a much better situation to raise ticket prices - by winning.

It definitely makes sense but buying tickets has gotten really complicated. You can't just suggest 'get some tickets in LF' anymore. There are 3 different price ranges and 5 different categories of game price ranges.

This is coming from someone that has been outside of the US for almost a decade and had it easy with a partial season ticket (Tigers) package. I am sure that all teams are doing this now.

Attendance figures are still that way.  It's getting better, but they're still below what is officially announced.

Can we at least call for Dave St Peter to be fired?

Tough crowd!!!

It was a joke. St Peter does perfectly fine in his role, such as we see here.
