I learn a lot reading these game threads. And sometimes it has to do with baseball.

To entertain while educating is one of the most successful methods of instruction. The best classroom teacher I ever knew summed it up for me this way; "Never let the little b@stards know they're being taught anything."

TD excels in that regard.

What do you learn in game threads? That we're all just a little, oh what's the right word... unique?

Unique is a brand of gun powder.

Are you sure you want to claim we're all on the volatile side?

First time at training camp ... well then, the first time to ST can't be far behind.

And I thought you had a successful road trip with the drunk cousins a few years ago? No?

Ft. Myers is at the very top of my "still need to visit" list. I'd like to plan a trip toward the end of spring training when both Miami and Tampa Bay open the season at home so I can knock those two stadiums off my list. I also want to squeeze in some time visiting the Florida Keys.

The drunk cousin trip was a success.

The bad road trips that I plan usually involved my Kids saying... "Dad... Do we have to see the world's largest cow". My answer is always... "yes... you have to. It's only 25 miles out of the way".

Sorry to hijack this thread but I thought I'd mention something pertinent to tonight's game. Weather may be an issue. 40% chance of showers, temps in the mid-50's, north winds 10-15 mph with gusts to around 30.

I wasn't being rebellious. It wasn't about rebelling. Despite what my parents wanted me to be, it was still my choice. And I made it.

I still think you are a rebel

But Salem Sue can be seen from I-94!  She's right there on top of a hill!

It's your loss for not joining us last spring.

It is, diehard... During the very limited times I fly back home, going to Jake's Pizza is a must.

well, I live in Indiana, so that one is not an option for me.  Unfortunately, I don't have customers up in the Twin Cities area like I do in FL, so I don't have a convenient way of crossing that off my bucket list.

And let me clarify further ... I'm not trying to be 'snobby' about being college educated ... it's not for everyone and it isn't the end all to be all ... everyone has to decide that for themselves. But I do believe, more often than not, it can, and does (not always), provide one with greater opportunity, ultimately. Even if one never graduates and even if one does something completely different than the degree pursued and/or earned.

College helped me a lot with my punctuation.

I'd be at LALA for sure.....I love live music.

Just make sure you buy VIP passes.

If it rains, and it's likely, the grounds become all mud. And with the drunken crowds, it's not just mud. Wear you hip waders. Seriously.
