snepp Verified Member Posted July 27, 2017 Posted July 27, 2017 How does Puig not take at least one fastball to the ribs every series? Even Morris just gave Puig a pass, hell has frozen over.
nicksaviking Community Moderator Posted July 27, 2017 Posted July 27, 2017 The Dodgers' announcers talk a lot about the drills that players are doing on game days and what each player is focusing on. I wonder how well the Twins' coaches are doing with creating innovative and personalized drills.I heard the Twins were working with Rosario to switch from Black and Decker to Dewalt.

glunn Community Moderator Posted July 27, 2017 Posted July 27, 2017 The Dodgers' announcers seem very confident that they will come back and win.
gil4 Verified Member Posted July 27, 2017 Posted July 27, 2017 4) Books. Anyone read anything good lately? Just thought i'd ask... I keep meaning to read. It's the summer after all, with summer reading lists for everyone and their mother.I don't read much other than the Bible, but I do go through a lot of audiobooks. Agent Zigzag was a great, true spy story. I like Daniel Silva's Gabriel Alon series, Louise Penny's Armand Gamache series, Alex Berenson's John Wells series. All are very different, but the writing is a step up from Baldacci, Patterson, Clancy & Co., etc, and about three steps up from Cussler (who I still occasionally like to listen to.) Our library has audio books available for 10-day download on two apps - Overdrive and One-click Digital. The don't have nearly the selection of Audible, but they're free vs $15/month.

Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted July 27, 2017 Posted July 27, 2017 They have our bullpen scouted real well.Is that why Roberts rigged that double switch yesterday to make sure Belisle wouldn't throw in that game?
gil4 Verified Member Posted July 27, 2017 Posted July 27, 2017 The Dodgers' announcers seem very confident that they will come back and win. After the last two days it's hard to be too confident the are wrong. That 1-2-3 6th by Santana helped. I see he's hitting in the 7th, so Molitor must be developing a realistic view of the bullpen too.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted July 27, 2017 Posted July 27, 2017 Puig is 6-9 in this series.
snepp Verified Member Posted July 27, 2017 Posted July 27, 2017 Like you? You're a quality tool. /chief humor I'm the energizer bunnies of 'tools', I keep going, and going... ...and going, and going... ...and going, and going, and going... ...and, hell, I'm out of juice.
gil4 Verified Member Posted July 27, 2017 Posted July 27, 2017 Puig again - a DP would be nice (or a shot to the ribs.)
snepp Verified Member Posted July 27, 2017 Posted July 27, 2017 We need insurance runs. Emphasis on the plural.
h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted July 27, 2017 Posted July 27, 2017 Granite in center is such an arm compromise. Dodger Stadium has the fever
nicksaviking Community Moderator Posted July 27, 2017 Posted July 27, 2017 He should have pimped that Puig strikeout.
snepp Verified Member Posted July 27, 2017 Posted July 27, 2017 Pretty sure that doesn't drop with Byron out there.
h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted July 27, 2017 Posted July 27, 2017 Granite. Noodle arm. We need Buxton.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted July 27, 2017 Posted July 27, 2017 I think I'm off to bed while I can still imagine the bullpen holding onto a 1 run lead. g'night all.
Suicide Skweez Provisional Member Posted July 27, 2017 Posted July 27, 2017 Easy for Buxton. Crap! Yep, wasn't Granite's fault at all...but thats a ball that Buxton absolutely catches.

I have heard of the Bible, but the others are new to me. Well, i assume it's Tom Clancy? Again i've been spoiled by movies. I have read a bunch of Alistair Maclean a while back. Local libraries have books on cd available for 3 weeks, which is enough time to take them on a road trip. I should also take advantage of that soon...
