notoriousgod71 Verified Member Posted July 15, 2017 Posted July 15, 2017 I can't blame Hughes for sticking around when he makes about $64k a day. But I do wish he would feel guilty about it, and give it back.Although there's obviously little guarantee ownership will choose to reinvest. Karma for taking him out one batter shy of reaching his bonus. Riverbrian 1
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted July 15, 2017 Posted July 15, 2017 I'm trying to think of a worse way to start the second half of the season. Danchat 1
h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted July 15, 2017 Posted July 15, 2017 22 pitches, and not one swing and miss... there it is... one. 23 and 1.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted July 15, 2017 Posted July 15, 2017 Based loaded, no outs. If there is one thing i have learned from following the Twins... We got 'em right where we want 'em. Riverbrian 1
h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted July 15, 2017 Posted July 15, 2017 (edited) 22 pitches, and not one swing and miss... there it is... one. 23 and 1. Now 2 out of the last 3! he is on a roll! But no runs scored.... lock down. Now 3 more Twins' runs, please. Edited July 15, 2017 by h2oface
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted July 15, 2017 Posted July 15, 2017 Ok now let's see if Morton gives up 8 runs
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted July 15, 2017 Posted July 15, 2017 Granite with his first Major League hit earlier tonight? How nice! What i miss? How'd it go down?
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted July 15, 2017 Posted July 15, 2017 Ok, now let's see if Houston gives up 16 runs Riverbrian 1
h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted July 15, 2017 Posted July 15, 2017 Twins' bats, no problem swinging and missing. Bases loaded and no walks or hits. Amazing, I smell fate! Comeback!!!!
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted July 15, 2017 Posted July 15, 2017 We waited until 1 out to load the bases. They don't know what is coming...
h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted July 15, 2017 Posted July 15, 2017 Not enough, Polanco! You owe us!!!
Danchat Verified Member Posted July 15, 2017 Posted July 15, 2017 Wow, two errors by Houston's defense. This is our chance...
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted July 15, 2017 Posted July 15, 2017 A hit batter and two errors should almost always equal > 1 measly run. Danchat 1
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted July 15, 2017 Author Posted July 15, 2017 Granite with his first Major League hit earlier tonight? How nice! What i miss? How'd it go down? It was very entertaining. It looked like solid contact off the bat from the CF camera and I was thinking a double in the gap but it turned out to be a duck snort that barely alluded a leaping tiny Jose Altuve... who then threw his glove down on the ground in disgust. Because the ball was hit so softly. Granite was able to reach second on a bloopish double to CF. Blake 1
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted July 15, 2017 Posted July 15, 2017 It is absolutely absurd that we cannot get altuve out.

sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted July 15, 2017 Posted July 15, 2017 So ... Our pitchers have thrown up 5 donuts in 5 innings. Can't complain about that, can i? Riverbrian 1
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted July 15, 2017 Posted July 15, 2017 A Buxton double? Or just an ordinary double?
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted July 15, 2017 Posted July 15, 2017 Bases loaded, this time with 2 outs. Psst... Molitor. Ever call a triple steal? LaBombo 1
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted July 15, 2017 Author Posted July 15, 2017 A Buxton double? Or just an ordinary double? Well Struck Line Drive into the LF Corner.
Cap'n Piranha Verified Member Posted July 15, 2017 Posted July 15, 2017 We have 4 hits, all for extra bases.
Cap'n Piranha Verified Member Posted July 15, 2017 Posted July 15, 2017 Buxton's OPS is now above .600, which means it's higher than Polanco's.
Blake Verified Member Posted July 15, 2017 Posted July 15, 2017 (edited) Buxton out: Guessing hamstring. Nope, groin. I thought something was wrong with the say Buxton went into second. Edited July 15, 2017 by Blake
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted July 15, 2017 Posted July 15, 2017 Well Struck Line Drive into the LF Corner. Thanks!
