The goal would be to get ChiTown's head to explode first though.

I don't think it's possible to get ChiTown's head to explode. Steam coming out of her ears? Probably. But explody head? Not likely, considering how long she's hung around this place.

And really, she should expect this sort of zaniness from us yahoos anyway.  She'd probably be disappointed otherwise.  We wouldn't want that, would we?

Spent a year in Boston back in the day - the school I attended was near Fenway, and often on my way to Kenmore Square to catch a green line train, the game would be in the late innings in the case of afternoon starts. Pre-Papi Red Sox opened the gates after the 7th inning, so you could just walk in, which I did several times. Got to see KC Gary Gaetti his a grand slam off Clemens on such a day.

 

I bought a ticket to see the Twins there, and after 4 innings the skies opened up and it poured and poured, for hours. I started walking around picking up ticket stubs, which in those days were rain checks, redeemable for a future game ticket, not a makeup game. I had about 30 in my hands, feeling giddy with all the ballgames I'd go to, when after 3 hours they restarted the game, 11:30 pm. Twins and Scott Erickson took the loss. It, well, it was a bummer man.

 

I love me some Fenway.
