bighat Verified Member Posted April 8, 2017 Posted April 8, 2017 Guys this is my fault. I bought into the Buxton hype and drafted him in Fantasy. I'm really feeling the sting tonight, but thats another story... Not just you. I've got him on my fantasy team too. We're a head-to-head league, so I've got to keep him on my roster all week long. So disappointed in both real life and in fantasy right now. Ugh. drock2190 1
Sam Morley Verified Member Posted April 8, 2017 Posted April 8, 2017 I have seen all of buxton' abs this season, and they have been getting worse. Worst lineup move in recent history to put him in the three spot. He needs to be moved to nine immediately. He's not going to figure things out with the pressure of batting third. He might not even figure it out batting ninth. It's beyond me why molitor would sandbag him with the responsibility of batting third, especially with his history. Hopefully he can relax and recover in the nine spot. It's hard to imagine him having to go back to trip A given how important he is to the pitching staff. Right now, he looks like he did when he first came up. Jerr and bighat 2
MNTSchmitt Verified Member Posted April 8, 2017 Posted April 8, 2017 They can't Buxton down anymore can they? not that it matter cause he crushes AAA pitchers, just can't produce at the plate in the big show.

alskntwnsfn Verified Member Posted April 8, 2017 Posted April 8, 2017 Hughes is really pitching well tonight. Not overpowering stuff, but he is hitting spots and mixing it up! I like it! Doesn't hurt to have Buxton to bail you out on some long outs too - those were huge! Dozier's Glorious Hair, Joe A. Preusser and Jerr 3
MNTSchmitt Verified Member Posted April 8, 2017 Posted April 8, 2017 I like the intensity Giminez shows when he is giving his signs behind the plate. It's almost like he;s trying to fire Phil up. Joe A. Preusser and Jerr 2
Joe A. Preusser Verified Member Posted April 8, 2017 Posted April 8, 2017 Huge props to Hughes. I thought it would be a long asz game after the first, but he settled in and has pitched really well. I am impressed. bighat, Dozier's Glorious Hair and Jerr 3
spinowner Provisional Member Posted April 8, 2017 Posted April 8, 2017 Ah man I broke 100 post...didn't realize it.I know I have at least 100 broken posts. Joe A. Preusser and MNTSchmitt 2
Joe A. Preusser Verified Member Posted April 8, 2017 Posted April 8, 2017 (edited) Also, I honestly believe that If JRM had won the backup job and was catching tonight, we'd be down by 3 or 4. I really like both our catchers. Edited April 8, 2017 by Joe A. Preusser bighat 1
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted April 8, 2017 Posted April 8, 2017 Alright, I almost flatlined when that ball left the bat. That's enough Phil for the night, Paul. Bring in Tyler please. bighat and Joe A. Preusser 2
MNTSchmitt Verified Member Posted April 8, 2017 Posted April 8, 2017 I really like Giminez behind the plate, he's demeanor is awesome!

Sam Morley Verified Member Posted April 8, 2017 Posted April 8, 2017 That side by Hughes was amazing. The fastest pitch he threw was 87, in Cabrera's ab. I was really hoping he was going to k Frasier. That would have been incredible. alskntwnsfn and Joe A. Preusser 2

"I know breaking balls should be down, you don't have to drag the signs in the dirt."

bighat Verified Member Posted April 8, 2017 Posted April 8, 2017 Who the hell is giminez. I realize he's our 2nd catcher but what's his background? According to crack reporter Marni Gellnar, he's a normal guy from Gilroy, California: The Garlic Capital of the World.
