It's funny here in Florida. Lots of people cheering on the Cubs ... people who aren't really baseball people but just like a 'good story' who are convinced they just have to cheer for the Cubs. I ask why and get the answer 'Because it's the Cubs!' I usually don't say anything because whatever, but this is why I get annoyed with most of the Cubs fans out there ... they know nothing of the sport nor of the team nor of any other teams (even their local teams) but yay! it's the Cubs.

Edit: Go Indians! :)

They get to be fans, too.

Can't cheer for either team but looking forward to a great game. Naquin going to the bench was predictable. Had to be done.

Once again it's going to be 70 degrees at first pitch tonight. The weather gods are cooperating for November baseball between 2 Midwest cities....

and the start time had to be moved up because more rain is expected.

Huh? This isn't true from what I've seen....

Those weather gods any relation to the baseball gods?

I prefer Cleveland win, even if I can' say/type their team name.. Mainly cuz I just hate that the Cubs fans believe in this curse stuff.

Good for MLB/Fox that they're in there and they're in a 7th game. I actually like a lot of the Cubs young players...

And yes, I will actually watch Game 7 tonight... probably.

wasn't moved up much, but it was moved up. :-)

Oh, that's right, was moved up 8 minutes yesterday :)

I'm with you now.

'CLEVELAND — There is a chance of rain in the late innings of World Series Game 7 between the Cubs and Indians at Cleveland's Progressive Field on Wednesday night.

Major League Baseball announced late Tuesday it was moving up the start time by 8 minutes to 8 p.m.'

All the talking heads were saying that Kluber should only go one time through the lineup tonight. So far, time #2 hasn't gone well...

From what I read, most were preaching 4-3-2 innings by Kluber-Miller-Allen

Alex Cora, Dave Cameron, Keith Law, and the Baseball America staff all discussed one time through the lineup with Kluber and then re-evaluating on a hitter-by-hitter basis after that.

From Dave Cameron's chat today

Q:: Indians pitching usage: Kluber for 6, Miller for 2, and Allen for the 9th, or the field?

Dave Cameron: Kluber for 4, Miller for 3, Allen for 2.

In fact, Cameron was so adamant about that when someone asked him if Kluber was perfect through 4, would he still pull him? Cameron said yes.

'Mike D: If Kluber has been perfect through 4 with 12 strikeouts, you still take him out?

Dave Cameron: Yes.

Dave Cameron: Miller > Kluber. I want Miller on the mound as quickly as possible while still giving me a shot to have him and Allen finish the game.'

Basically, he was saying in a 9 inning game, he would only have three pitchers go and that would have to mean Kluber goes 4.  If Kluber got pulled after only going through the lineup once, the game couldn't be finished by Miller and Allen.  Too many innings.
