Big respect for the Cleveland Indians.

[Mike Sixel]

This just in.....Andrew Miller and Cody Allen = good at their jobs.

I guess Bautista was wrong about Merritt shaking in his boots...

Indians AL Champs, 28th in attendance.

Cleveland just absolutely refused to let their injuries slow them down. Hopefully, the Vikings are the Indians of the NFL this season.

Damn you, Rachel Phelps.

Congrats to the Indians.

Can't say I wasn't just a bit pleased to see the oversized egos in Toronto cut down a notch or three.

Cubs getting to Clayton Kershaw in the first inning. Hard not to feel like there might be outside factors in play.

[biggentleben]

Last postseason's breakout player was Daniel Murphy. I think it has to be Javy Baez this postseason.

Good for the Cubs.  Tip of the cap to Epstein, he understands value and how to rebuild a team when you have plenty of money to spend.

[biggentleben]

Two games in the history of the playoffs have faced the minimum amount of hitters - Don Larsen's perfect game and the Cubs' gem tonight.

[Squirrel]

The bars all along Clark St in Wrigleyville were charging a $60/person cover charge last night. I guess since they don't get to capitalize on the Cubs in the WS too often, they really had to make it worth their while.

[ashbury]

I guess Epstein doesn't really deserve much credit since his teams have had money.  No good drafting, no quality trades, no timely trades, whole team completely built by only spending loads of money.

Is this in response to anything said in this thread? Mentioning using large sums of money wisely in no way means the things you say are meant.

Please don't construct straw men.

[Squirrel]

Articles like this say it all. I'm cheering on the Indians. Just because. I hate media drool.

I'd be happy with either winning, but I want the Cubs to win more.

Okay, Trump

Whether the Cubs or Cleveland win the WS, I think it is a good thing... a great thing. For me personally, in my 30 years of being a baseball fan, I have never been this disinterested in baseball and this is a very exciting match up!

I think the Twins finally killed my baseball soul or exiled it into another dimension.
