Game Thread: Twins vs. Tigers, 9/21/16 @ 7:10pm CST

Good news for Twins fans.  We might have pitchers with high ERA's, but at least we aren't paying them 16 million a year!

Do I still have time to drive downtown, park, get into Target Field, and go pick up that Dozier home run ball before anyone else gets to it?

This game has playoff implications, why the small crowd?

meaningful games in September.....

People watch these still?

Depends on your definition of 'watch'.

Crowd!?! There's barely enough for a four-team barbershop quartet contest and a panel of three judges!

You're good except for the 'park' part. That ship sailed at 6:30 this morning.

Chief, I don't have a pencil and paper to do that math. How many is that?

Logan Schafer displaying his "Just-shy-of-the-warning-track" power.

[Kwak]

"A drive hit to the gap..." caught 20 feet in front of the warning track! (Bremer announcing)

No, but there are a lot of other things you could be called! I'll start with "no life whatsoever"

And Bremer was right there with him, putting home run suspense into a ball that wouldn't have reached from the entrance of a Target store to the seasonal area in the back that started displaying Halloween stuff two weeks ago.

18,000 announced. That may be a tad high, provided that the Tad in question is the Theodore Roosevelt portion of Mt. Rushmore.

BuBo-nic Plague has pitched fairly well, and yet I have no faith in his ability to get outs when it really matters.

I think they meant 18 and 1000. Though, that also may be a little high.

It's a lot closer to reality than Dicks call on the Shaefer blast!

We joke about estimates that are off by a decimal point, but rarely do you see an estimate off by two decimal points.

[jimmer]

This whole organization should feel ashamed for the product they've put on the field this year.

[wavedog]

Tie it up Dozier!

[Hosken Bombo Disco]

Um, what's the infield fly rule again?

[LaBombo]

Iglesias with an implied tip of the cap to Buxton on the grounder in the hole. It's one thing not to attempt the throw; it's another to not even turn to see how close the play could be.

[Platoon]

So were we seeing if Buddy could get out RH, or was Molly trying to save energy and not walk out there?

[wavedog]

or pop-up .....

not to speak of 3 zeros.

[jimmer]

Dick just got done saying Buxton has been putting the ball in the air too much. Then he says, look, he hits it on the ground, gets a base hit.

Yeah, that verifies your bias, Dick.

That's a little bit better than the usual 23k they announce.  Far more comical however.

But the bobblehead tributes to Spam were awesome!

My oldest daughter has a running offer of free lunch if she can ever define it for me, she still hasn't collected.
