But i NEVER sacrifice in the second inning. Never. Depending on the pitcher, possibly even not with a pitcher up. Moving a runner(s) up one base at the expense of an out doesn't make sense. If, late in a game, it appears one run will very likely win the game, and the hitters due up and pitchers available to the opposition both make sense, OK. I can see it. Otherwise? No.This.
