DrNeau Verified Member Posted August 7, 2016 Posted August 7, 2016 During this series, Sano has been getting a lot of balls out of the strike zone called as strikes
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted August 7, 2016 Posted August 7, 2016 Considering Grossman and Buxton don't play the same position should pretty much kill this sentiment. But....are you really telling me that the "manager doesn't get it" by playing the guy leading the team in OBP and 3rd in OPS+? There is no possible reasonable explanation for all of those players having more PAs in August than Byron Buxton. None. Robbie Grossman isn't going to be a big part of any solution. Investing a lot of PAs in him is foolish in the extreme. Byron Buxton might be.
operation mindcrime Verified Member Posted August 7, 2016 Posted August 7, 2016 The Marlins have a retractable roof. And the rest are football, so not a fair comparison. Thanks for correcting me. I should've done some research how embarrassing!
HitInAPinch Verified Member Posted August 7, 2016 Posted August 7, 2016 Good Concentration. And a BIG dollop of luck
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted August 7, 2016 Author Posted August 7, 2016 I'm surprised they're pulling Andriese here. I thought they'd get another inning out of him. Maybe this means we'll get to see Jepsen at some point?
HitInAPinch Verified Member Posted August 7, 2016 Posted August 7, 2016 A 'Milone' sighting! I don't see a bus ticket in his hand....
LaBombo Verified Member Posted August 7, 2016 Posted August 7, 2016 There's a guy I'll never, ever get tired of.... disliking intensely. Not a big Pete Rose fan, either. PS Just kidding, Ray.
LaBombo Verified Member Posted August 7, 2016 Posted August 7, 2016 A 'Milone' sighting! I don't see a bus ticket in his hand....They use Uber now. Download the app now, and you might be the winner of the Demotion Derby driver sweepstakes!
operation mindcrime Verified Member Posted August 7, 2016 Posted August 7, 2016 Good for Gibson! I'm glad to say my prediction was wrong.

Willihammer Provisional Member Posted August 7, 2016 Posted August 7, 2016 Next year's Ray's rotation looks to be ArcherCobbOdorizziSnellAndriese With Hu and I dunno, probably a dozen other high quality pitching specs in the wings.
LaBombo Verified Member Posted August 7, 2016 Posted August 7, 2016 Maybe this means we'll get to see Jepsen at some point?Sounds good. An insurance run is nice; four is better.

When that soapbox is all out and stuff But if you look at Buxton's Game Log. Hes pretty active. His lack of AB's is easily explained by: Time in AAABeing injured for stretches and consistently batting 9th.

Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted August 7, 2016 Author Posted August 7, 2016 I will be very disappointed if the Twins don't score at least 1 run on Jepsen.

LaBombo Verified Member Posted August 7, 2016 Posted August 7, 2016 Oh crap.. Millone is in:( Not a big Millone fan, but the more the bubble guys get looked at now the more info there is to help decide what to do with them in the offseason. Or something like that. That's what I'm telling myself when guys like that get playing time, anyway.
LaBombo Verified Member Posted August 7, 2016 Posted August 7, 2016 Nobody sells the Big Turn Single like Dozier. I've seen competition slalom waterskiers that don't lean as much.

HitInAPinch Verified Member Posted August 7, 2016 Posted August 7, 2016 Sano with a walk and NO strikeouts today! oh yeah, and that 3-run HR....
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted August 7, 2016 Author Posted August 7, 2016 It may have been an unearned run, but I'll take it.
LaBombo Verified Member Posted August 7, 2016 Posted August 7, 2016 Alright, one on. Time to knockout Jepsen. I'd settle for just seeing him give up a few runs and get pulled, but... either way. http://usatthebiglead.files.wordpress.com/2013/05/happ-hit-to-head1.gif?w=1000

I love the game of baseball but if there is one thing that worries me. This would be it. The pitchers are throwing harder and the hitters are hitting harder. I think it's not a question of IF but when.
LaBombo Verified Member Posted August 7, 2016 Posted August 7, 2016 Kepler catch = Wow. When that ball left the bat the only question in my mind was whether it was going to be a double or triple for the Rays.
