notoriousgod71 Verified Member Posted August 7, 2016 Posted August 7, 2016 "What impresses me the most about Polanco is his calmness when bunting."- Molitor Are you kidding me?
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted August 7, 2016 Posted August 7, 2016 Polanco currently sporting a .933 OPS and it's his "calmness when bunting" that impresses you the most, Molitor? Huh. edit: ninja'd by notoriousBIG, or somebody.
Jham Verified Member Posted August 7, 2016 Posted August 7, 2016 I was thinking by "put to sleep" you meant kind of like executed in a quiet way like they do to ailing cats and old dogs.I thought the same thing, and did consider a line-up shift in which no one is humanely executed would be a slight positive despite the relative unlikeliness of the alternative...
jimbo92107 Verified Member Posted August 7, 2016 Posted August 7, 2016 At the end of the day, the sum of Gibson just always seems to add up to less than the parts. Something small goes wrong, and Gibson's game falls apart. He has a very fragile "zone" where everything is working. I'm not sure if he's ever going to mature into a reliable starter. Maybe after he leaves the Twins..?
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted August 7, 2016 Posted August 7, 2016 I was thinking by "put to sleep" you meant kind of like executed in a quiet way like they do to ailing cats and old dogs. Yeah That's what I meant. Some players know what happening and don't want to get out of the car when they see it pull up to Molly's Office.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted August 7, 2016 Posted August 7, 2016 I'm wondering where was the cutoff man? I didn't see anybody waving for the ball between Rosario and the pitcher's mound. So, Rosario threw it at the pitcher's mound. Vargas was running toward the cut position. It appears that Vargas may have been delayed for some reason.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted August 7, 2016 Posted August 7, 2016 Vargas was running toward the cut position. It appears that Vargas may have been delayed for some reason. None of which excuses Rosario even making that throw home, much less a rainbow that hits the mound on the fly.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted August 7, 2016 Posted August 7, 2016 None of which excuses Rosario even making that throw home, much less a rainbow that hits the mound on the fly. I disagree If he was aiming for the mound... I consider that very impressive!!!

USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted August 7, 2016 Posted August 7, 2016 Well, my TV died, so I guess it's back to watching the game on MLB Gameday... I'll cheer for a 'In Play - No out(s)'.Not that it's ever needed, but this seems like a good excuse to run out and spend $1500 or so on a new TV.
ScrapTheNickname Provisional Member Posted August 7, 2016 Posted August 7, 2016 Pop quiz: what do Max Kepler, Robbie Grossman, Trevor Plouffe, Eduardo Escobar, and Byungho Park have in common? Can you give a clue? Like 20 of them?
mickeymental Verified Member Posted August 7, 2016 Posted August 7, 2016 what if gibson walked 27 hitters and picked them all off of first?
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted August 7, 2016 Posted August 7, 2016 Can you give a clue? Like 20 of them? The answer can be found on the Twins page at Baseball Reference.

USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted August 7, 2016 Posted August 7, 2016 Well, the TV's fine, it was just the cable box. That needs to be replaced. But it's working now...Well if you say so. Seems risky to me. I'd rather be safe than sorry. In fact, $2000 sounds even safer.
HitInAPinch Verified Member Posted August 7, 2016 Posted August 7, 2016 Seems like the whole world comes to a halt when Gibson is pitching. And not in a good way...
jimmer Verified Member Posted August 7, 2016 Posted August 7, 2016 So, are we still calling Danny Santana the 25th man and a backup? He has started seven of the last nine games.
kydoty Verified Member Posted August 7, 2016 Posted August 7, 2016 Bert says you know Florida you need a roof. The Buccaneers, Jaguars, Dolphins and Marlins don't as we all know. The Marlins have a retractable roof. And the rest are football, so not a fair comparison.
