jimbo92107 Verified Member Posted July 30, 2016 Posted July 30, 2016 Both guys threw out the runner by about six inches. That is NOT ironic, but it's a cool coincidence. What's ironic is when everybody on one team wears the same color shirt. What are the chances??
HitInAPinch Verified Member Posted July 30, 2016 Posted July 30, 2016 Have none of these guys heard of a 'sweep tag'?
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2016 Author Posted July 30, 2016 Actually, Eaton's form on his throw was terrible. He caught that ball flat footed, and took two crow hops before throwing. He got the out because it was way too short of a fly ball to advance on, and because Grossman isn't all that fast. That's too complicated for me. I've reduced it all down to the ball getting to the bag before he did. Hosken Bombo Disco 1

jimmer Verified Member Posted July 30, 2016 Posted July 30, 2016 Have none of these guys heard of a 'sweep tag'?Yup, but they decided when you tag someone best to keep the glove very near or on the runner in case he comes off the bag. Less flashy, more effective. :-) Riverbrian 1
