If they are I hope Nolasco gets the same treatment...we know he needs all the help he can get...

[jimmer]

Grossman hits what looks like a routine fly to right-center, and it blows way past the right fielder and hits off the wall for a triple.  Meanwhile, at home plate the wind is blowing litter into the third base stands.  Looks like an interesting night ahead.  Sano + popup = ???

best part is, he was running full bore the whole way.

[jimmer]

Lol the Red Sox' Spanish announcer just said it's "absurd" that the umpires are allowing them to play in this wind.

true.

[kydoty]

Dick says it is raining less than a mile away from Fenway.

That stuff has already passed the city. There's a whole slew of rain coming up in about a half hour.

[spinowner]

Seems Nolasco's getting squeezed a bit here.

[hybridbear]

Why can't Suzuki catch the ball?!?

[jimmer]

Suzuki has the ball bounce off his mitt.

[jimmer]

Why can't Suzuki catch the ball?!?

Would have been safe anyway, but yeah.

[spinowner]

Suzuki's only shot was to try to sweep tag the runner. Probably couldn't have gotten him anyway.

[jimmer]

Vargas should have cut the ball off and gotten the batter/runner.  Mauer cuts that ball off and this innings is over.

[spinowner]

Dickroy talking about Vargas needing to cut that throw. I think it's Suzuki's call for the cut.

[Willihammer]

Never thought I'd say this but I think I'd rather have Van out there. He was made for these conditions.

Time to get the bullpen up! Nolasco is struggling in the wind...

[hybridbear]

Zuke!

[spinowner]

Twins knocking David Price around, as usual

[hybridbear]

Look at what Buxton's speed does to the defense!

[spinowner]

Looks like Nunez made a good swim move. Too bad there was no good camera angle.

[Willihammer]

Ninja Nunez.

what no challenge?

[hybridbear]

Nuñez looks safe! Why aren't they challenging? That was a great slide to avoid the tag from Pedroia.

[Willihammer]

3 runs is nice but it shoulda been four. Sigh

[Danchat]

The Twins love to smash aces like Price, Hamels, and Sale. Their true weakness is when they face the mediocre pitchers.

[Willihammer]

So Jery Remy the NESN color guy has been sent home because of getting hit in the head by something kicked up by the wind.

I just read that Sale was dismissed from his start after a team meeting tonight, for undisclosed reasons.

[Willihammer]

Anyone going to the Aquatennial fireworks tonight?

[Hosken Bombo Disco]

Nolasco getting squeezed but wish he would stop giving up line drives, too.

[ScrapTheNickname]

I was outside for a minute. What happened to Suzuki? Did they say what hit Remy?

[Willihammer]

RBI Oritz.

[Willihammer]

They did but I forget. He was seen by a doctor.

Zuke took a foul off the mask and I think his head is fine but his lip was bleeding.

[Hosken Bombo Disco]

And the wild pitch does not, in fact, haunt the Twins

[Danchat]

Can we please end this Nolasco experiment? Berrios would be much better at this point. He's tearing up AAA and has nothing left to prove there. We're terrible. Why can't they get him back up here and say goodbye to Nolasco? Forget about how much he's making, focus on the future and play Berrios!!
