Brandon Verified Member Posted July 3, 2016 Posted July 3, 2016 While i am far from a Nolasco fan I think the 6 innings a start he consistantly provide has value to the Twins right now. Especially with Millone not going making it through 6 in many of his starts. Gibson seems to have turned a corner and is comming around. we can only hope for Duffy. I think Berrios will be up soon enough to take the spots of either Millone or Duffy. With Nolasco, the question is can he get down to giving up 2 or 3 runs in 6 innings instead of 3 to 5.

Bill Brown69 Verified Member Posted July 3, 2016 Posted July 3, 2016 There is still 1 more move to be made in the next couple days. Trevor May was at the ballpark today but was not activated due to pitching in back to back days. He will be activated, probably before Tuesdays game. What is the corresponding move? I doubt that the 12 pitcher thing will last longer than that unless we get 7 from Nolasco tomorrow. Then maybe we try to roll with 12 until the all star break.

spinowner Provisional Member Posted July 4, 2016 Posted July 4, 2016 I must be the absolutely last guy to read the Pioneer Press No, that would be me, as I never read it. The scoops from both local papers wind up here quickly enough anyway.
Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted July 4, 2016 Posted July 4, 2016 So, May is a RP still. Sigh. Glad Jepsen is gone.....
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted July 4, 2016 Posted July 4, 2016 Possibly EE or Plouffe to the DL?It's been confirmed that May will be activated for Monday's game. During today's game, Dick was speculating that Plouffe would go on the DL to make room. I'd also be fine if they DFA'd Ramirez for May, but I don't think they're done with him quite yet.

Yeah, I heard him talking about it, I just didn't know how much possibility it had. I actually hope they give Ramirez a good look. He was really good in 2014 and has electric stuff.

Dick was sure giving the Plouffe to the DL vibe. I think you are right.

Platoon Verified Member Posted July 4, 2016 Author Posted July 4, 2016 I was out of touch with reality yesterday, more so than usual. So I see in the Trib that the Twins announce a couple days ago that after Jepsons stellar inning he is getting it figured out. Then EE gets hurt. Then they bring up an OF, as an IF gets hurt. Then they decide the IF is not badly hurt, but instead of sending the OF back to Rochester, they DFA the pitcher that they just said was getting it together. Now they will have to figure out what to do with May, which means either Plouffe, the unhurt EE, or another RP goes. I am really not against getting rid of Jepesn, although he was miscast as a closer. But I am tired of the continued reactionary philosophy of The FO. Arcia was quoted as saying he knew his DFA was coming. He should hit Vegas next, because anyone who can foresee what this FO is going to do has to be psychic!
