Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted April 28, 2016 Posted April 28, 2016 Darn. Good at bat. Should have won this one.
LaBombo Verified Member Posted April 28, 2016 Posted April 28, 2016 I'd like to see one of those Mauer doubles here Sorry, man, best I could do for ya. Have a good night, all.
LaBombo Verified Member Posted April 28, 2016 Posted April 28, 2016 Dang. Heartburn it is I hear Absolut/ Pepto smoothies are the bomb for that. Not sure if good kind of bomb, though.
Bark's Lounge Verified Member Posted April 28, 2016 Posted April 28, 2016 We were in position for tying it up. Oh, well that's how it goes sometimes. We need to win series (majority of games) and get back to striking distance. This year is not lost - something can still be had.
David HK Verified Member Posted April 28, 2016 Posted April 28, 2016 Chances upon chances upon chances... and now I have this bad taste in my craw as I'm about to go mark speaking exams. Argh. I'm going to be a brutal judge today. They better have some serious noun/verb agreement, or there'll be hell to pay.
ShouldaCouldaWoulda Verified Member Posted April 28, 2016 Posted April 28, 2016 Was following the game on MLB At Bat while I was trying to put a minion to bed. Saw that Myer was once again NOT used. Was there any discussion about him during the broadcast or on here? Don't want to sift through it. I can only assume he is going to make a start now, but wouldn't he likely be all out of whack after being brought up and told to sit in the corner? I can only assume this would be setting him up for failure. Berrios was not helped by the weather and wait tonight. Guessing they send him back down after this tiny sample size to "work on more things."
LaBombo Verified Member Posted April 28, 2016 Posted April 28, 2016 It's gonna take some great belief, but this game can still be had. You were kind of right, in the sense that at least a few people who staid up late probably feel had. But the Crunch Berry Kid showed flashes of that excellent repertoire of pitches, and the offense continues its slow ascent toward mediocrity and hopefully beyond, so overall it wasn't a bad night. If nothing else, it beat the crap out of two hours of FSN rain delay/postponement filler about where Target Field's infield dirt comes from.
LaBombo Verified Member Posted April 28, 2016 Posted April 28, 2016 They better have some serious noun/verb agreement, or there'll be hell to pay. And make sure they have those units on the south ridge repaired by midday, too.
FormerMinnasotan Provisional Member Posted April 28, 2016 Posted April 28, 2016 I just hope Berrios can atone for this start. One thing Berrios did better than Duffey in his debut is not give up a homer (if I remember right Duffey gave up a 2 run homer and a grand slam). I'm not that opposed of sending Berrios down once either Santana or Gibson come back in the rotation (provided Berrios still is struggling). At this point even if Berrios gets sent down we now know the Twins will be fine bringing him back up again when he earns it again.
