The Twins offense in a nutshell

Our pitching staff is rated 6th in the AL.  So they're doing their part.  The offense has been putrid!

The Twins starters are doing fine. Both potential closers have failed to produce, and Casey Fien looks like he will make All Star weekend as the player that serves up pitches for the home run derby.

The Twins have no hitting, but the lineup still is set up like the team has a classic roster with a lead off hitter and a high contact hitter batting second. As was feared, this roster is not ready for the major leagues.

I just hope the starting pitching is for real, because if they have any kind of drop off these games are going to get really ugly and uncompetitive. Even a marginal improvement in hitting would have won a few games. But if the rotation slips and we start leaning on that bullpen every day, this lineup (even with considerable improvement) isn't equipped to outhit that level of deficiency.

On the positive side, guess who's on track for the #1 overall pick in the 2017 draft!!! Can't wait.

Unfortunately, probably the Braves. They're actually trying to suck. We just do it naturally.
