There are a lot of Yankees fans in the Fort Myers area. The Yankees only come to town once during ST so the crowds are always to capacity. Whenever I'd go to these games the spectators always seemed to be an equal mix of Twins, Yankees and Red Sox fans. And while the Twins fans would watch the game and cheer on their team, the Yankees and Red Sox fans in the crowd would spend their time cheering against one another. Today would be the day to use my trick for getting a drink rail seat in the shade, but you'd have to get there early.

YANKEES
Gardner LF

Hicks CF

Headley 3B

Ackley 1B

Denorfia DH

Interesting to see both Hicks and Murphy in the same game. Who has more to 'prove' here? :)

Enjoy! Hope y'all take a break from the NCAA tournament to tune in .., this one's televised. Hopefully it won't be rained out ... local weather has 75 deg, overcast with a 50% chance of rain, winds from the WSW at 7mph.

Interesting to see Hicks and Murphy share a few words at the plate during Hicks' first AB.

Down below today, Booshers, Darnell and Tonkin each pitched an inning, followed by 5 from Berrios, with Chargois finishing up.  Good job by all.

Murphy draws a walk, then Buxton w/ the wall-ball to left center to kick off the bottom of 5th.

Imagine traveling back in time to, say, 2009, telling some Twins fan about a game against the Yankees featuring Aaron Hicks, Chris Parmelee, Deibinson Romero and Anthony Swarzak playing for the other side, and letting them imagine the blockbuster trade the two teams must have made sometime in the ensuing 7 years.

Interesting that Mauer is wearing sunglasses while fielding, but not while hitting.

Doesn't the sun come at you more from the 3B side, making it more of an issue when playing first than when at bat?

I'd settle for no less than Phil Hughes.
