I'm still glad I watched this. Otherwise, I would not have seen the great performance by Tyler Duffey, and then the implosion of Trevor May, who had a spell of the kind of wildness that got him traded for Ben Revere.

Baseball is a game about pressure. Winners apply pressure; losers feel it.

You don't want to run out of challenges in the 7th, thanks to not challenging that they also had a chance to not challenge the grand slam!!!

I think after the 6th inning, all challenges are free.

99% chance the call was correct on the field, and yet it would have been competent of Molitor to challenge? I don't understand.

Did I say 99% the call on the field was right?  So in the last inning where challenges are available you would take a 1 in 100 gamble to get bases loaded nobody out?  We see guys pop off bases and get calls overturned, if he's not clearly on the bag challenge it, and hope they find an angle you don't or they have better eyes then you.  If you lose the challenge who cares?

I agree it was the right move, but Molitor has been around baseball a long time. He should have seen that May's head wasn't right when he stepped on the mound. Should have yanked him for Casey Fien after the first walk. Fien isn't perfect, but at least he's a veteran.

Bark... We need a photo of Trevor May with something not right about his head.

Maybe the Head is upside down on his shoulders.

On the last replay that FSN showed, the 3B was off the base but kicked his foot back at the very end and ticked the corner of the base before Plouffe slid in.  100% out at 3rd.  Umpire is standing right on top of the play, nearly impossible to miss that one.

I think the third base coach was reacting and supporting the player.

Supporting the player is a concept certain people don't understand.  If thats the 3rd inning it's one thing, but in the 7th there is no excuse.

Twitching like Mike Tyson would be nice... ;-)

There it was, Dallas Keuchel fanned Sano for the third time with the same down and in curve. Keuchel gave up three home runs in this game, but there was nobody on base.

Not walking people is important.

If you question putting May in as a managerial error you might as well give up ever being taken seriously.

Just a sucky outing by the kid.

Im have long been done from taking HIM seriously.

Great post. Duffey looks like he's real. I actually think we can a feel good about this game. May will learn from the experience.
