Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted August 12, 2015 Author Posted August 12, 2015 ND is known for its high Polynesian population. I believe it is the highest outside of Winnipeg. As a kid - Hawaii 5-0 was past my bedtime. I used to thing the wave was so cool, I would sneak out of my bedroom to catch a glimpse of it going into commercial breaks. Back in the olden days kids did not need an i-phone or game boy to be entertained. Game Boy? You mean Pong.. right?

USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted August 12, 2015 Posted August 12, 2015 I remember Staying on So Padre Island and the woman at the motel told me how lucky I was to be there when I was. I asked why? She said cuz next week all the college kids were there, music, noise, drunk guys, girls taking off their shirts! I asked if my room could be extended a week! True story...during one or another of my four years at junior college, some friends and I drove to the Padre Islands for spring break. There were indeed those things. Well, three of four, anyway. Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted August 12, 2015 Posted August 12, 2015 If you ever drive from MN to Mexico once you get to Texas you're half way there. That's what dawned on me how big the state is. Took 11 hours of consistent driving to get to OKC from Bloomington. Another 6 the next day to end up in Austin. And 7 hours to get to So. Padre Island from Austin.... Riverbrian 1
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted August 12, 2015 Posted August 12, 2015 Who is this "Guy Yardoh" feller anyway? Sheesh. Never even heard of him and he's got a shutout into the 6th. Riverbrian 1

USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted August 12, 2015 Posted August 12, 2015 Every series, Dickbert are flabbergasted at all the hard throwers coming out of opponants' bullpen, like it's the most amazing thing they've ever seen. At some point, I wonder if it dawns on them where the unusual bullpen lies? Platoon, Riverbrian, glunn and 4 others 7
D. Hocking Verified Member Posted August 12, 2015 Posted August 12, 2015 Who is this "Guy Yardoh" feller anyway? Sheesh. Never even heard of him and he's got a shutout into the 6th. I think he has to be considered a finalist for the Cy Young award, because our offense would eviscerate anyone of a lesser quality. I suppose there is some minimal chance they are having an off day offensively, but that does not seem likely. Riverbrian, USAFChief, glunn and 2 others 5
Bark's Lounge Verified Member Posted August 12, 2015 Posted August 12, 2015 Yeah, it's huge.Is that picture accurate? I cannot recall when Texas was convicted of a crime and sent to the USA's most horrible prison. How awful. ashbury, Riverbrian and glunn 3
