Game Thread, Twins @ Indians, 8/8 @ 6:10 pm CT

[spinowner]

The ball boy down the right field line needs better training. The ball was in play and he just sat there. If a fan wouldn't have touched the ball it would have touched him. If I'm his supervisor he gets a stern talking-to after the game.

[Jerr]

Maybe we are setting them up for a 16-15 Twins win

You mean Marlins?

Yes, yes, I forgot to type Marlins!

[ScrapTheNickname]

The Little League World Series is coming up. That should be fun!

So what would be worse for someone early in a career as a manager--accepting the Marlins job or declining the Marlins job?

Yes, Mike Redmond seems like the kind of guy who should be managing in the major leagues and they spit him right out, didn't they.

[spinowner]

*sigh*

[Riverbrian]

The Marlines GM puts the team together. Fires Redmond cuz he can't win with it and then takes over as coach and still can't win with it.

Dougie Baseball should stay miles away from that job. I'd say he's already too close by Managing in Chattanooga.

[Riverbrian]

Dear Paul,

You gotta pull him!!!

Pitching is like your car.

You kinda take it for granted until it breaks.

[Jerr]

Cleveland has only won 5 home games within their division!!! This year!!!

[JB_Iowa]

They have 9 relievers but they can't pull Santana because they burn through 7 or 8 each game.

What have you been doing with these boys, Neil Allen????

Our bullpen is kinda like the sewer line leading out of your house, for similar reasons.

[Riverbrian]

Alright... This performance didn't go well.

I'm going to find something else to do during the little time off that I get.

Good Night all.

[ashbury]

Santana needs larger ears. His little elf ears just don't make him look like a serious major league pitcher and the batters are starting to notice I'm afraid.

[spinowner]

It's the red jerseys. They wrung every bit of luck that they had out of them last night. Should have gone with the grays.

[Intramural Legend]

The magic sure is lost.  I hate saying this, but thankfully football season is starting this weekend

Would have been a tough play, but I think there exist shortstops who get to the ball that drove in runs 6 and 7.

I've been paying sporadic attention so I don't know how many other excuses I can come up with for our starting pitcher. Nominations?

Are the Twins playing in it?

[ashbury]

Are the Twins playing in it?

And more importantly, how much will they lose by?

[ashbury]

CBU: Eight (gag puke) to one (hurl) Indians (urk), after three. Bluarrrlll.

[JB_Iowa]

Good job, Zuk!

8-3.

Long way to go but there's time.

[Squirrel]

This just sucks. I'm going back to not watching.

[Intramural Legend]

Welp - didn't see that double play coming

[nicksaviking]

Yes, yes, I forgot to type Marlins!

Probably an unconscious omission

And it really sucks when it's in the shop the better part of a decade.

[Pius Jefferson]

This is worse than the Toronto series.

This is worse than the Toronto series.

Judging by the game threads activity, it's certainly less watchable.
