This is exactly the type of game an AL team is ill-equipped to play in an NL ballpark.

We should be the one AL team very equipped to play in an NL ballpark, but unfortunately all of our versatility is roaming the outfield.

Pitching is all about Adcocking and Subtractcocking, just ask Bert.

I can think of a few things one could say the same about.

I am glad Dozier is hitting all those dingers, but as a baseball pragmatist I cannot understand why he ever ever ever sees a high fastball? He might hit a single off the other 7 spots in the zone, but up and in to him is just suicidal.

Good thing it's not a home game.    It's raining hard enough in my neighborhood that my dream of owning a houseboat may be about to come true.

Re:  Pelfrey, has there been any mention by D&B tonight about how his start might affect the "Third prize is you're fired" musical chairs rotation shakeup when Ervin returns?

Do whatever you were doing in the 6th inning for the rest of the game and we'll call it even...

By gummmmmm.....  There is NEVER a good time to walk a guy.  But the unforgiveable walk is to the leadoff hitter in the 7th of a close game.

Dang it- there are things you can't control- bloop hits, the sometimes somewhat subjective strike zone... but when you gack up the things you can control---  i.e., let's see...  7th inning leadoff walks with murdurer's row coming up, well, that's the sign of god-awfulness.  (is that a word?  It should be.)

Methinks he's no longer in the running for even the set of steak knives....

Pelfrey's sounds like a good guy from what we've heard, and we're pulling for him because Twin.

But when he was openly grumpy about being assigned to the pen in spring training, my mental image was of Terry Ryan being played by Maverick's gruff, foul-mouthed CO in Top Gun, helpfully explaining to Pelf that "You're just lucky to be here, @$$h*!e!"
