All kidding aside, I actually think this is the place where the Twins might invest to make a playoff run.  A veteran with a reliable glove and bat makes a great deal of sense to shore up the middle of the defense.

I used to have trouble remembering my email accounts and had to make new ones on a monthly basis due to them being convoluted or revolving around some flavor of the month catchphrase. Becasue we don't have a SS? We are stressing defense in the OF, and we sell out at short for offense. We complain that a corner OF is not a great glove man, and then put Nunez at SS. Maybe that's why our roster construction is such a mess?

I was having fun. I don't think it is a problem to have his bat in the lineup when we are struggling to score runs. Get back to me when he makes an error.

If only there was a player out there, someone who could bat .275/.315/.406 over a full season if you gave him consistent playing time, someone with an occasional bit of pop and played above average defense.

Actually, Nunez is already batting .267 with some pop, and he looked pretty slick at SS today.

 

Short is an issue, but with Esco and Nunez, there's really no rush.
