6-4 Twins, top of the 9th, no outs!

I didnt expect a double but Mauer should have been running and not tagging up on that, and IMO should have been at 3rd, I am critical with that opinion????

With only 1 out why would he be running?  Certainly looked catchable to me.

He should have been running toward 2nd,IMO  and if ball is caught, he can go back and tag, he wasnt going to get thrown out at 1st, from left field with the OF running toward wall.
