Should Arcia have been pulled?

If it becomes routine, then you bench him, if not, there is no reason to.  You are trying to build these young players up, not have them worried that if they make an error, they are going to be benched.

The World Series isn't coming this year whether we have Vargas and Arcia in this year or Robinson and Schaefer.

The latter pair are journeymen and the former pair may never pan out and are seemingly not ready.

I'd still rather see the youngsters who MAY eventually pan out in the lineup than the journeymen who even if they do pan out will never amount to anything more than journeymen either.

I agree.

FWIW....on topic as well as off...I thought Arcia actually showed some defensive improvement in RF last season. Ignoring any debate about Hunter's worth as a signing, I was incredulous at moving Arcia out of right to make room for Hunter there. I always believed it made infinitely more sense to put the older veteran Hunter, signed to 1 year, in to play left.

Moustakas probably should have had second base on that but he didn't run it out. I'd bench him too.

BTW I see Arcia in the starting lineup for tonight.

FWIW part 2: Watched Arcia very clearly grab a fly to left tonight with both hands.

Mauer clearly cost the Twins a run tonight with substandard baserunning.

Should Molitor have pulled him from the game?

On the flyball, could the run saved be credited to the defense rather than Mauer? Perhaps another difference that good OF defense can make, forcing the other team into more conservative baserunning?

Not that Mauer is without fault, but it is interesting to consider the defensive angle. Cain is pretty darn good out there.

In watching three games against KC, Cain looks really good out there.  He covers a ton of ground with this speed and taking the right angles.  So does Gordon, moreso on the angles part.  He is fast for an LF, but Cain can just fly.
