LaBombo Verified Member Posted September 10, 2014 Posted September 10, 2014 I remember flying Search and Rescue missions looking for the survivors. Early model C-130's, if I recall correctly. We refueled in Toronto and took in a late season Argonauts game during a layover. Can partially confirm this. Had a summer job helping Jawas scavenge pickled aircraft inside the Davis-Montham boneyard. The cargo cave wall of an early B model bore two elaborate illustrations both signed by an artist named 'USAFChiefSomeday'. One commemorated the Argonauts' final, game-winning touchdown plus the date and final score, and the other appeared to be testament to the otherworldly, uhh, 'flexibility' of a young lady named 'Monique'. Three French words spelled phonetically in English followed her name. Not sure whether to wish or fear I will remember what they were.
