I think this means they can lose about 4 more games if I want my March prediction to work out.  I will have to check their remaining schedule to see if this is likely.  Hopefully they will have an easy last few weeks.

They've got some good pieces in place, but just aren't ready to win.  I don't go for coach-speak platitudes usually, but it just feels that way in games like this and last night.

I'm been thinking this... and I feel like it's been confirmed for me over the last couple weeks... but I've been thinking that the Twins should add a veteran bullpen pitcher to the staff. We need less of guys like Anthony Swarzak (who's a long reliever at best, in my opinion) and more of a more talented potential setup pitcher.

Darn.  Schafer bails them out, so no extra insurance runs for the Angels to make me dismiss Duensing's performance as meaningless.

 

Relative to other moments in the game, as opposed to season outcome.

 

Also, is it just me, or is it bad marketing strategy for a 90-loss team to use music in its in-game ads/lowlights that closely resembles 'Adagio for Strings', the heart-wrenching orchestral arrangement that accompanies the most dramatically depressing scenes of the movie 'Platoon'?

 

This season is painful enough without music that evokes Willem Dafoe's dying reach to the sky for a rescue that will never come.
