ashbury Verified Member Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 I've often considered upgrading my $59.95 basic yearly Twins Daily membership in the hope that with the extra revenue, the mods might get an extra week of paid vacation every year.Make it times fifty-two and I'll take the whole year off for you. (Screw the other mods.) In other news, Cherry Vanilla with real cherries (lots of them) is my go-to ice cream. Rocky Road is what I have a lot, too. For variety, I like some crazy ones like Pistachio and Green Tea and (especially) Black Walnut. I probably would get tired of Black Walnut after about 10 cartons in a row, but as a change of pace it drives me wild. Now, I'm here for the walk-off win. Run in the top of the ninth be damned.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 Both Dozier and Vargas go deep... I'm calling it. The Vargas home run bounces thru the RF gates.
Platoon Verified Member Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 I like Perkins, but it's been a little bit of a tough stretch lately.

ashbury Verified Member Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 The play by play on ESPN.com shows the reliever is H Street, and I suddenly realize he should be pitching in Washington DC.
stringer bell Verified Member Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 The age-old question, do you bunt him over?
ashbury Verified Member Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 Craptacular...Craptain Fantastic.
Platoon Verified Member Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 That's it I am going to bake some brownies
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 Craptain Fantastic. And the brown dirt cowboys.
stringer bell Verified Member Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 Not overwhelming evidence.
ashbury Verified Member Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 Oof. They don't come much closer than that one. Good challenge (or did the umpires call for it themselves?).
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 The play by play on ESPN.com shows the reliever is H Street, and I suddenly realize he should be pitching in Washington DC.Absolutely... I concur. And he could learn a Dupont Circle change. I also think Martin St. Louis should play for the Blues and it bugs me that he doesn't, Miroslav Satan should have been a Devil.

USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 The play by play on ESPN.com shows the reliever is H Street, and I suddenly realize he should be pitching in Washington DC.So far he's doin' just fine in Minneapolis.
ashbury Verified Member Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 Dozier-zie! Way to move the runner over to second! / with a single
LaBombo Verified Member Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 And the Brown Dirt Cowboy."I'm walkin' here!"
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 And the brown dirt cowboys."And it's one more beer... And I don't hear you anymore"
ashbury Verified Member Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 Plate umps just don't give Mauer the benefit of the doubt on close pitches anymore. Paul Emmel should get partial credit for the subsequent popup.
stringer bell Verified Member Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 I said it last night and I'll say it today, there's probably no good hitter less likely to make a productive out in this case than Joe Mauer, and Dozier is a close second.
LaBombo Verified Member Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 That's it I am going to bake some browniesDon't forget to wash your hands and leave the fan on for at least 5 minutes afterward...
big dog Verified Member Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 Okay ... Mauer is gonna win this one for the Twins. I'm calling it now. Nice try. How is a "call" different from a "jinx"? I'm a little hazy on the distinction, but I will refrain from calling anything for the rest of the game.
ashbury Verified Member Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 And then strike one on Vargas is even worse.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 Here it comes... Vargas should be able to swing freely
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 That's one hell of a change up
