LaBombo Verified Member Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 And Burlington threatened in the bottom of the 9th, but Cedar Rapids held on for the win.Burlington Coat "factory"? It was more like a coat treehouse. Two thumbs down.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 Joe Mauers mom would have made u eat Kemps! At least till last year. My mom was ice cream crazy... I'm sure that where I got it from. Mom used to buy it by the pail. Bridgemans... I believe. It was low grade and Mom and I would love it. We never ran out. I still love it today... But when I got out on my own and discovered premium ice cream without the air. It blew my mind. How can something be this good.
stringer bell Verified Member Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 Gibson had a nice outing.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted September 5, 2014 Author Posted September 5, 2014 This might be my favorite (I might have gone there more than Liquor Lyle's back in the day). Bridgeman's butter brickle a sentimental favorite from childhood, and I do like a good vanilla with some quality hot fudge.Lol, Liquor Lyle's. I lived around the corner from there on Colfax, then over on Emerson, then down on Kenwood Pkwy across from the ice rink, then back up on Summit (the one in Mpls, not St. Paul)
stringer bell Verified Member Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 I don't PR for Plouffe here.

Leaning Tower is probably where I went the most, then Lyle's and in the summer, while it still existed Two Pesos with their 99 cent margaritas and their big open garage doors. It was nice to be within walking distance of Sebastian Joe's so I could go on off times and avoid the lines.
D. Hocking Verified Member Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 I wonder if JB is a Packer fan and watching the game, it is not going that well for them.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted September 5, 2014 Author Posted September 5, 2014 I don't remember Two Peso's. Must've come after I left the neighborhood. I loved that area, then I had to go and buy a house in St. Paul.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 I don't PR for Plouffe here.Concur. Particularly if you're then going to have the PRer just stand on first base.
LaBombo Verified Member Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 Re Trout/Hicks again, Yeah. When Hicks takes off after a fly ball, my mental image is of a dyslexic Magellan in rough seas, plotting a course whilst barely able to reach the map.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 I wonder if JB is a Packer fan... Hey, hey, hey...we're having fun teasing JB and all, but let's not get nasty.

I loved that area, then I had to go and buy a house in St. Paul.It was early 90's it was down on Lake just up from Hennepin next to the Best Buy (which I think became a Cheapo). It looked like it had been an old garage and you ordered your food in a cafeteria line and got 99 cent margaritas out of what looked like a Mister Misty dispenser. While cheap, they were not weak, and luckily I would be able to walk home.

Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 If I had Jinx power... I'd use it... I'd be a superhero. I'd wear a Cape and tights... The whole works.
stringer bell Verified Member Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 2 ABs to 1, should be to the Twins' advantage. Don't think it is.

Normally... I'd stay away from Aquaman. But the Lobster bib makes me believe I'll get Lobster.
LaBombo Verified Member Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 Very nice throw by HIcks. And he's a Twins why?
big dog Verified Member Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 Good Gibson turned out on top, but Bad Gibson gave him a tussle. Too bad about that tie-breaking run right there. Pretty phenomenal throw by Hicks. Let's get two and Go Home Happy! Then we can eat ice cream.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted September 5, 2014 Author Posted September 5, 2014 Okay ... Mauer is gonna win this one for the Twins. I'm calling it now.
