While firing Gardy is defensible, I don't think the day-to-day line-ups are fireable offenses.

Not per se, but either he is the one of the only people around who do not think it important to give Santanna reps at SS, or he has made up his mind one way or the other, or he is under orders from upstairs not to. He often talks of doing one thing, but never does it. He can put out any lineup he wants, he is the guy. But since the 11th game after the ASG, he would have been doing the team a favor by treating the rest of the season as spring training.

I've often considered upgrading my $59.95 basic yearly Twins Daily membership in the hope that with the extra revenue, the mods might get an extra week of paid vacation every year.

In ice cream news, Wal Mart is selling Blue Bunny's Homemade Chocolate for $3.50 and its totally worth it.

I like Nunez as a bench guy. He's got versatility, speed, and some pop in his bat. He is accustomed to being a bench player. I think his defense is better than advertised.

This might be my favorite (I might have gone there more than Liquor Lyle's back in the day).  Bridgeman's butter brickle a sentimental favorite from childhood, and I do like a good vanilla with some quality hot fudge.
