Do the Brewers not understand how Mauer hits the ball to left field?

Given that the left fielder was practically on the left field line, yeah, I think they have some idea.

Bummed to find out that TWINSWIN promo for Papa Johns doesn't work in Chicago. Hey, I'm a Twins fan, they won, Give Me My Half-price Pie!!!

Fortunately, my good friend google pointed out that june50 works too.

I was glad to see a Mauer line drive go for extra bases. If they want to shift him to catch that the left fielder would have to be 20 feet from the line.

I ordered a couple of pizzas from a new joint close to my house. The guy delivered it, took one look at me and said, it's on the house. When I asked why, he said, "you are the dude that taught me how a restaurant is supposed to be run". I remember him. He was a scrawny little stoner, but he absorbed teaching like a sponge. It totally made my day.

That explains why what looked like a routine fly to left hit the base of the wall with no fielder within 20 feet

Nice, but given that he was delivering pizzas, did you ask how well he had absorbed the teaching about running a restaurant?

Our local Butcher makes great brats. Not so salty. Mmmm.... that may be a tomorrow purchase.

Speaking of Butchers... Sam's girlfriend Alice died... I'm sad

I think that's three guys that Garza thought he had struck out and had to interrupt his walk off the mound. Hopefully the ump is getting in his head.

(edt) and now I hope Gibson starts getting the low strike that Garza is getting.

They need to shift Reynolds out to LF with Davis... Shade Gomez toward left and put Braun behind Segura

Well, 88 isn't bad.

Doubt Sam is still alive is he? I remember him as an army recruiter on the Andy Griffith show and as a buddy of Rob Petrey's from Camp Crowder on The Dick Van Dyke show but I can't remember his real name.

Suzuki says "you better call that ankle-high strike for my guy too"

No kidding, that was a horrible call. Especially with two runners on base.

Alan Melvin, aka Sam... Franklin(????, wrong, last name 'Butcher'), 1923-2008. Like to think that when they married, Alice went with 'Alice Maid-Butcher'

Don't the Unwritten Rules mandate that the Twins must hit Segura for breaking up the perfect game with a bunt?

I would... Right in the legs.

Look at the bright side. At least it didn't bounce on home plate...

Where did you find that? That Tux doesn't fit anymore but I sure looked good.

They would say that if they were written down so you could read them.

The arm of Santana is a little erratic. Must be the crow hop screwing him up.

Perhaps if we had someone with CF experience, this throw wouldn't happened. Santana made a bad (and kinda dumb) throw, but I don't blame him too much, he shouldn't be playing CF.

And now it's 2-0 instead of 1-0 because of this.

I would also condone a fastball thrown behind Willihammer's head, for jinxing it with that post a few minutes ago.

At some point you need to blame the players for screwing up. Can't pin everything on the front office/manager. But Santana absolutely shouldn't be in CF
