On an unrelated note (no, really), why has this inning sounded like Dick and Jack are broadcasting from an Indians private suite filled with drunk executive wives?

Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted May 8, 2014 Author Posted May 8, 2014 I think this is the part where Popeye says... I've Stansk all I can Stansk and I can't Stansk no more. At these moments... Popeye would eat some Spinich... The Twins will call up Eduardo Nunez and I'm going back to work.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted May 8, 2014 Author Posted May 8, 2014 Pick the three easiest. On an unrelated note (no, really), why has this inning sounded like Dick and Jack are broadcasting from an Indians private suite filled with drunk executive wives? 3 8 and 9
LaBombo Verified Member Posted May 8, 2014 Posted May 8, 2014 Good grief. My wife and your wife are the same woman! There were 9 movies about that very same topic on Lifetime last Saturday, except about husbands. Busy that day, so thank goodness for DVR's.

tobi0040 Verified Member Posted May 8, 2014 Posted May 8, 2014 If I learned one thing today, it's that I like Danny Santana's work. Well, Santana has 3 hits in 6 at bats. No errors in two games. I have seen enough, cut Pedro and Nunez and lets move on and get a normal looking roster.
JB_Iowa Verified Member Posted May 8, 2014 Posted May 8, 2014 Want some more depression? Molly Knight @molly_knight 23m The Dodgers will average $334 million annually in TV revenue over the next 8 years. Cardinals current deal gives them $25MM a year. Unreal. And the Twins deal is what? Like $40 million?
Richie the Rally Goat Community Moderator Posted May 8, 2014 Posted May 8, 2014 Don't forget the affair with the babysitter. And child abduction.A snorted hard on that, my wife has made me watch too many of those crappy movies. 1 is too many, but unfortunately its been a lot more.
LaBombo Verified Member Posted May 8, 2014 Posted May 8, 2014 3 8 and 9Deduced from your choice of 9 over 6 that you don't have a Cubota.

LaBombo Verified Member Posted May 8, 2014 Posted May 8, 2014 Dick's forecast for the upcoming series in Detroit? "Roster juggling". His gift for the understatement of incoherence and disaster is matched only by his ability to dramatize routine warning track fly balls...
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted May 8, 2014 Posted May 8, 2014 3 8 and 9 If you left out 5, how do you even know what 3 8 and 9 are? Oh wait. Repetition... I heard somewhere that was one of the keys to humor.(If memory serves. Tell joke. If funny, repeat until it's not. If not, repeat until it is.something like that.) Anyway, game over, man! There seems to have been a rally. Too bad it was the Indians rallying...

This whole organization should be ashamed of what has become of this team. I'm not usually one for hyperbole or excessive negativity but that team on the field today was embarrassing.
LaBombo Verified Member Posted May 8, 2014 Posted May 8, 2014 I hope that meant that he's mad at himself, and ashamed, as he had a hand in digging this organizational hole.Yeah, meant that he was mad about the mistakes others made, and embarrassed about his. Or at least that was my takeaway. Not a mind reader, but it would make sense.

And consequent repetition? Golly, i think i've been one upped! Well done sir! (and I like that the list now goes to 11). Ya know, i think there is plenty of punch to go around! Yeay, verily, the punch bowl runneth over. Only the cool aid glass is half full. Punch and ... Judy? Pie? The New Yorker? A bag of/for?... for some reason the word punch is fraught with associations. Now if only the twins line up can find its punch again in Detroit! Thanks again for an entertaining game thread, even if'n i didn't contribute so much. I too kinda zoned out at the barrage of doubles in the bottom of the 7th...
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted May 8, 2014 Posted May 8, 2014 "Roster juggling". While i know what he (Dick) means, it still feels like something is inaccurate. If i've been paying attention, we had 2 people on the bench yesterday and 1 today? Last i checked, the usual sense of juggling occurs when you have more objects than hands... Anyway... tomorrow is a new day and a new game. I count these games as "interesting times" even if not everything is going our way.
