Wow. Just wow. You thought you were going to impress her with your daring and instead you went for the sympathy. Life is funny. Did she break up with then or the next day? Or is she now Mrs. RB?

 

She hung on for awhile... But after a week... She didn't like me not knowing her name.

First concussion. Riding my bike in a rainstorm for a Little League game that ended up being cancelled. Hit some loose gravel and hit my head. Was on the highway when I stopped bouncing and saw an approaching semi. My little brother pulled me out of the way.

 

Concussion #2. First football game of my sophomore year. I didn't expect to play, but someone got hurt and I was facing a 300 pound lineman. I stood him up on the first play and our running back fumbled the ball. I looked back and saw the ball, dived for it, and collided with about three other guys. Ran off to the sideline of the opposition. Went back in the next series. I recovered three fumbles that day (2 ours, one theirs), never touched the football again during a game.

16 years old... I was at a nearby state park with a bunch of friends.

 

I was walking around talking to friends... My girlfriend was sitting in the passenger seat of my car waiting to leave and it looked like she was sleeping. The driver side window was open and I decided to run full speed and arrow myself through the open window to surprise her.

 

I missed... Head first into the frame of the car window. Blood pouring down my face like I was Carrie at the prom... and I couldn't remember her name wen she was asking me if I was alright.

The best concussion stories usually start with "Watch this!" Or "Hold my beer". This one should have...

Baseball-wise, for those following at 35,000 feet.

 

We go to the tenth inning, scoreless.

 

I'm at about 1000 ft today (south mpls), but wasn't able to watch the game, so I'm "watching" the game replay on Twins Daily, just like yesterday.
