Squirrel Community Moderator Posted May 2, 2014 Author Posted May 2, 2014 Who, me?If the shoe fits ...
JB_Iowa Verified Member Posted May 2, 2014 Posted May 2, 2014 What is it with all the Viagra commercials during baseball games. You'd think there were a lot of old men watching. Nevermind. I'm just glad that there generally aren't political commercials. I watch approximately 1/2 hour of local television a day. And in that 1/2 hour there are always commercials for at least 4 different candidates .... and it is only May 1.

I like the disclaimers... If you're mother in law is coming to visit... Don't take Viagara. If you are swimming in a race... Don't take Viagara.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted May 2, 2014 Author Posted May 2, 2014 I found a better walk up song but don't know how to create a link in thread ... how do you do that again? Create a link and replace it with text?
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted May 2, 2014 Posted May 2, 2014 If the shoe fits ... If the shoes fits... That would be impressive.

But that's probably it.

Squirrel Community Moderator Posted May 2, 2014 Author Posted May 2, 2014 Okay, note to self: don't make comments of a particular nature with Brian around.
cmathewson Provisional Member Posted May 2, 2014 Posted May 2, 2014 Another passed ball by Drew, The Greatest Defensive Catcher Ever. Had one last night. Had 11 the year he started 80 games.
big dog Verified Member Posted May 2, 2014 Posted May 2, 2014 All right, let's get this guy out of the game before Mattingly makes the decision for us.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted May 2, 2014 Posted May 2, 2014 Okay, note to self: don't make comments of a particular nature with Brian around. Thats a good list to keep handy. However... It takes a while to comprehensively compile it.
JB_Iowa Verified Member Posted May 2, 2014 Posted May 2, 2014 That probably has something to do with living in Iowa... Just a guess... But that's probably it. Iowa's part of it (that's why we get phone calls on Christmas Day before the caucuses - geez). This time it's because there are some fairly hot races in Nebraska and Iowa (and I think South Dakota, too but I don't pay that close of attention) and lucky us .... we get commercials for all 3. Blech.

big dog Verified Member Posted May 2, 2014 Posted May 2, 2014 Man, the Twins just can't afford to blow an inning when Florimon gets a walk. That's like giving back a Visa gift card.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted May 2, 2014 Posted May 2, 2014 I hate to say it... It was a tough catch... But catchable.
big dog Verified Member Posted May 2, 2014 Posted May 2, 2014 I think Hicks took his eye off the ball- it hit the heel of the glove and popped out. Then Hicks hit the wall and popped down. He went a long way on that.
JB_Iowa Verified Member Posted May 2, 2014 Posted May 2, 2014 I suppose negative ads are like dominoes. Once the first one gets pushed over. Funny thing .... not the negative ads yet. But I'm losing count of how many former paper boys are running for office. Okay, Twins, let's get it together here.
Joe A. Preusser Verified Member Posted May 2, 2014 Posted May 2, 2014 Hicks was not at fault tonight. I'd like to find a way to blame Pelf for tonight as well, but...

The other day I was sitting in a bar, having a cold one. The phone rang, and the bartender went to pick it up. The guy sitting a couple stools down looked around nervously, then told the bartender "if that's a paid political announcement, I'm not here."
cmathewson Provisional Member Posted May 2, 2014 Posted May 2, 2014 Way to strand the runners Tonkin.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted May 2, 2014 Posted May 2, 2014 Well, no one injured, and only one run allowed. That inning could have gone worse...
big dog Verified Member Posted May 2, 2014 Posted May 2, 2014 Tonkin!!! That's the way to end the inning.
JB_Iowa Verified Member Posted May 2, 2014 Posted May 2, 2014 Tonkin!!! That's the way to end the inning. Will that be his only batter faced?????
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted May 2, 2014 Posted May 2, 2014 I think the Dodgers have reached the Cold threshold.
