207 pitches thrown by Rays pitchers, and still two of the toughest outs in the lineup left to get...

Surprised Maddon went with the lefty against Plouffe until I checked his split this year. He's been ordinary against lefties, but mauling right-handers: .327/.443/.510 in 43 AB's. Tiny sample size, but encouraging anyway.

I did not realize it was that many pitches. How are the Twins only winning by 2?

Just got home. What'd I miss?

A boatload of bad pitching, Hicksie homer vs. rightie, interesting Twins infield play, and a web gem Desmond Jennings catch.

Nolasco did his best Pelfrey imitation, based on what I heard and what little I saw of him.

The Twins offense continues to bail out the starting pitching and Burton. Two nice wins in a row, capped by lights out closing by Perkins. Twins now over .500 again.

I see some real positives here, including Fuld.

My addition was a bit off, but the final total of 206 pitches is still awfully high. In games that they win, the Twins are routinely seeing 190+ pitches. That's a lot.

I think the D should get a little blame here, and the starting pitching the teensiest bit less

I will be honest, I did not think I would be seeing these types of statements a month ago. I suppose better baseball minds than mine would have looked at the line-up on paper and watched the spring training performances and said, this team is going to produce runs.

While I'm not Asian so I can't say for sure, I'm going to guess "yes".

Plus, the dude was born in Hawaii.

Born in Hawaii? Hmmm, better check his birth certificate.

I was watching on Gamecast and appreciate you clarifying this.

When are Arcia and Willingham expected back?

Arcia a few days earlier than Willingham, but PiPress tweeted that it would be another 10-14 days and both should be back on the 25-Man roster (assuming that's how the Twins want to do it - they could send Arcia to AAA to make sure he still plays everyday with all the guys on the ML roster that play LF/RF/DH right now)

the tweet:

Arcia remains ahead of Willingham in wrist rehab, but Rob Antony said both could be back in majors w/in 10-14 days.
