I have been watching the game, but not checking out TD. Any comment on Diaz as the home plate ump? To me, he has been as good any anybody calling balls and strikes. Good zone, good consistency.

 

Calling a bit of a low zone, but very consistent which is always nice to see.

What are our options at ss? Bremer just mentioned a guy we just picked up recently but he was playing OF today in Rochester...missed his name...anyway who can plug into short? Dozier eventually going back since we have a 2nd baseman now under suspension..?

1. Eduardo Nunez was acquired from the Yankees last week and is in Rochester training for a utility role.

 

2. Eduardo Escobar is also a SS option but the Twins don't seem overly high on him.

 

3. A Kid named Santana is also playing SS in a Rochester but he hasn't knocked down the door.

 

4. Dozier is going nowhere.

 

5. Eddie Rosario is the highly rated 2B prospect currently under suspension. Eddie will have to play his way on to the team. Dozier won't go down easy.

I hope Dozier is on this team for a long time. It would also be cool to see some personality, and maybe some aggressive play. This team is dry.

Speaking of the universes not imploding, what's happened to rabble-rouser Powers and his many minions who just a couple days go were ready to breach the barricades armed with pitchforks over the state of Twins starting pitching?

It's bittersweet being a Florimon fan right now. He looks outstanding defensively, but terrible offensively. Obviously, he's had some quality at bats (fouling pitches off, making pitchers throw lots of pitches, taking the odd walk etc.) and is putting the bat on the ball, but he's just not missing gloves with the ball.
