  1. Jeremy an undertaking such as mocking a baseball draft is truly bold. I appreciate the work you put in and it was fun reading about some abilities of players drafted later. When does the 30 rounder come out!! LOL
  2. If we cant trade the guys mentioned. Wont' get anything but its addition by subtraction. Continue winning and become a major buyer as we anticipate being better next year. Rosario caught cheating blew our chances as we were getting close to Stanton. Now he wont be traded. So either addition by subtraction and/or buyers. Honestly I think the Twins brass went into the season hoping to be buyers despite our record. They wanted to spend more $$ but held off in the offseason last year.
  3. "The biggest reason not to draft him is that this might be the last chance the Twins have for a while to have this high of a high draft pick, and therefore it might be the last really good chance to get the SS of the future in a guy like Gordon. " Yeah Aaron has a good point here about it being our last top 10 pick possibly in quite some time. This is a #5 pick and somebody has to be drafted that is supposed to make the team eventually. I dont watch much draft prospect video b/c I trust our staff to make the best pick. If the Twins are over .500 now and they are I think they know this is the last best chance to sign a contributer and possibly an all-star.
  4. I love to anticipate Hicks' good eye. Down 0-2 last game and drawing a walk. If things go really really sour I guess he could go down, but now as it stands everybody is helping out on the wins. I would like Hicks to play for us for years and eventually moving into Right. Buxton has been losing time due to injuries. He might not get his chance until 2016. I trust him in the outfield but kinda let down by his throwing. Is'nt he supposed to have a good arm too? Nothing seems to be on target that way. Still...lets hang in there and pull for Hicks together. 24 years old.
  5. Interesting. I hadnt considered a trade. I think he might be too valuable to the Twins to trade unless they get blown away. He is a very good guy for chemistry as well. Somebody we should be extending is Dozier who is in last year making less than 600,000 bucks.
  6. Correia is gone after this year but still may be able to dump him b/f trade deadline. Pelfrey we are stuck with for one more year. The Twins must have had a reason to do a 2 year with him, maybe it will surface. Hughes we have for 2 more years and at a fair price. Nolasco is just gonna have to adjust to the American League. Even if he drops to 3 rd/4th in the rotation. He will come around. Everybody wants to see the new 'M@M" boys come in and strike people out. Deduno I think will continue as 5th in rotation.
  7. Do you mean the routine grounder to end the inning?
  8. What are our options at ss? Bremer just mentioned a guy we just picked up recently but he was playing OF today in Rochester...missed his name...anyway who can plug into short? Dozier eventually going back since we have a 2nd baseman now under suspension..?
  9. Xanax or Clonazapam in small dose.
  10. Pressley can handle it until Buxton. Hicks becomes expendable and ten to one he hits the cover off the ball in Grapefruit this Spring. Or maybe he can cover the backup role playing every day in AAA. Fuggit...Buxton plays his way on team. Team plays over >500 ball and our starting pitching is vastly improved. Mauer is in the batting race and hits 22 home runs. Willingham show up all pumped and hits close to 30...plays uninspired LF. Gets traded for something decent. Maybe this is Hicks return. Twins never pick in the top 10 again.
  11. Dozier is the 2nd basemen of the future. He is there and producing. Rosario screwed us. I think our trade chips are pitchers now...and Rosario was a better trade chip.
  12. Yeah..he has a chance. It is wide open now...I'm afraid of hard throwing early to gain attention. Any one of these guys could be the 5th starter. Can't believe we could be offering what could be a 3 year contract to another pitcher. Maybe they needed good pitching prospects for a trade?
  13. Ah heck. Glad to have him. Didnt Frankie Viola give up the most home runs in the league for a few years? Hughes is just hitting his prime with a hell of a lot of experience. I agree..this is a win signing for the Twins. By midseason next year people may find it hard to imagine the rotation without him. go twins. Trade for Stanton.....trade for Price..one of the two!
  14. I'm with the "let's not sign AJ" crew on this. I actually like the guy...a winner..and I like that he bugs people too. I may agree with the guy who mentioned Arencibia..at least for a year. He is in his prime and hits Homers. His average stinks to holy hell but that is something that generally improves at his age. I dont know...but I am not comfy at all with a Pinto/Hermanson depth at Catcher! Oh alas! I just checked and found both Pinto and Arencibia are right handers!! Ten to One we draft that Catcher kid out of H.S. in the first round!
