  1. Vasquez please proceed down the hall
  2. I don't think you were wrong. This front office completely updated this Studebaker of a franchise and has done some good things. Maybe not good enough though as even the optimistic types have had enough. This slow reacting group has their backs against the wall.
  3. It's going to be telling watching the daily strikeout totals. Stringing together a whole lot of 6k or so games could keep them from breaking the ignominious record. That will be much easier when not facing pitchers like Spencer Strider.
  4. 28, 75, 78.2, 108.1, 72.2, 94.1. These are Ober's yearly innings pitched totals in his pro career. He's made 17 starts this year so at 94 innings he is averaging 5.5 innings per start including the minors, but 6.35 since being called up. They were clearly limiting him in the minors due to his track record, but they don't have that luxury now. We just passed the halfway point, at his current pace and with a conservative 15 more starts, that's 95+ more innings. About 189 innings total. 2.65 times the innings that he pitched last year. Now add a possible playoff run and I just don't see how there is anything to discuss here. You are right though, I don't need to be terse. The fact that I get tired of certain conversations here doesn't mean they can't or shouldn't be discussed.
  5. I can't believe people are talking about Ober going out for the 8th. Pay attention. Look at his career. What is the gain? What could you lose? That was the right move all day long and twice on Sundays BTW how's about Jax n Duran? Pretty sweet eh?
  6. If Bailey Ober turns in a performance like this in late September, you will be able to look back at days just like today to understand how he got there.
  7. Considering Bailey Ober's career, if you can get to the 8th inning at 85 pitches and sit him down after allowing 1 run, you should be dancing in the freaking aisles.
  8. Get Ober it man and find something else to focus on. Edit: Seriously do were have to go over Bailey Ober's career again? Give it up man!
  9. Gotta give it to herr Kepler, nice catch!!
  10. He got a homer, a walk and a strikeout. Two good at bats and what I would call the Joey Gallo special. Or would it be the Joey Gallo trifecta, lol. The best part IMO was he batted last so that limits his exposure.
  11. I think SZ's point was that it seems some only post when there is an opportunity to complain and fall silent during periods of rejoicing. This may be true. I don't want to put words into anyone's mouth, though.
  12. My shoelace got caught when I hopped off the bandwagon yesterday and I got dragged for a couple of blocks. A little scraped up but I clawed my way back on and no worse for wear. Go Twins!
  13. That call was ****, end of story. It's hard enough to hit without having to compensate for that bull.
  14. Per Tom F, Wallner has reverse splits and is OPSing over 1100 against leftys. Anyone think of a team that could use help hitting leftys? I just can't take it anymore, he could've made a real difference the last month. Malpractice. I wish I could be a fly on the wall and hear what it is management could possibly be thinking.
  15. I took it as you were implying that he wanted out of Minnesota for this reason. That is what I disagree with. Now if they don't give him a good run up here this year, then I could get on board with that. I don't think they should've sent him down in the first place and was very disappointed with that decision. That is a major reason why I'm losing patience with management. I'll bet he is frustrated right now, but thankfully he is taking that out on the ball.
  16. MLB player is a coveted position with a very limited amount of positions available. There have been thousands of players that maybe could've been good players that just never got the chance because of a myriad of reasons. There are frustrated private conversations happening in minor league clubhouses all over the country on a daily basis.
  17. Now your changing your tune. Saying he would accept a trade to commence a major league career is not the same thing as wanting out of Minnesota because of the way he is being treated.
  18. Oh ok, guy from Forest Lake champing at the bit to be traded from his hometown team. You are just projecting your own opinions on a situation you have limited knowledge of.
  19. If that is the case, I'm taking a freaking sabbatical, lol. For about 20 bucks a year I have the excellent MLB AT BAT app. You can listen to any game and any feed that was produced. You also get to watch all the minor league games. With the Twins affiliates scoring 12, 15 and 16 runs yesterday, my future coarse is clear. Might as well live in the future when the present is fubar.
