  1. I prefer a broadcaster who reacts properly to fly balls, Dick is ridiculous.
  2. It's odd that in spring training when they held him out because of the shoulder he was absolutely mashing at DH. Goes to 3rd when the shoulder feels better, but then he can't hit. Now this. What is up with Jose anyway?
  3. je veux voir le français tout de suite!!!
  4. Yeah maybe but I'm worried about a migraine trigger
  5. Bump. Just thought this needed more discussion,
  6. Not to derail, but the Strib is the most aggressively moderated site I've come across. When you post it is moderated before it's displayed. You don't know if or when it will be displayed. It's hard to have a flowing conversation, which actually might explain things.
  7. Ouch. Doesn't mean he can't have a great career, maybe he should talk to Lewis about getting through back to back surgeries. Man it is amazing how many pitchers get this surgery, I just learned that Pablo Lopez has a rebuilt elbow. These guys are obviously pushing past the natural limits.
  8. All sections of the Strib comments are the Chernobyl of newspaper boards. I don't get it because that has always been a quality paper with an exceptional sports section. Minnesota has a well educated population, yet here we are. The contrast to the discourse at a paper like, say, the NYT is stark.
  9. Louis is a ton of fun, miss that guy
  10. There are many years with just one representative, lol.
  11. I don't have this inside info you speak of. It is a strange and exasperating situation that I would like to see resolved, as much as these things can be, and then just please fade away.
  12. Are you actually laughing? I hope so. But yes I get that you will express your opinion on this subject you have limited knowledge of. Ok now I'm laughing, lol.
  13. This is exactly what's up IMO. Sadly it is probably damaged cartilage and that stuff doesn't grow back. You'd think Buxton has done all the strengthening of the surrounding muscles to support the joint, so what else can be done? This does not bode well for his future in center field. The fact that they haven't tried him at other less demanding positions offers a glimmer of hope that they feel that either improvement is on the horizon or a second off-season procedure could provide a path to better health. I would say the reason they haven't played him in center is because they think it could cause further, irreparable, damage.
  14. I agree but aren't the picks made by Sean Johnson who has been with the team forever? Maybe it's a combination of him getting better at his job and the Twins doing a better job of developing some of these players?
  15. First the stats I mentioned that have been posted before that I wasn't going to look up were the batting rankings of the teams that Rowson has coached since leaving. They were not addressed in your post and they also were not good. You do mention the results achieved by the 2019 Twins, but I think what nicksaviking was referencing and what I was responding to was that the approach was similar. They were trying to launch the ball, they were not a small ball team. They were just way better at hitting a ball that traveled further than the current ball.
  16. People might want to get off the Rowson train once and for all. I won't bother looking up the stats as it's been listed here many times before, but the guy oversaw last place offenses in Miami and now with the kitties. @nicksavikingmakes another great point that his successful offense here was the exact kind of swing for the fences routine that everybody is complaining about with this squad. Now who do they hire? St Paul looks to be overflowing in runs, but isn't CHS Field a big time hitters park?
  17. Don't worry in the rest of the draft I think they'll be grabbing many sleeper college arms they can develope.
  18. Couldn't just live with hairy hips? I thought he was a high character guy, sounds vain to me.
