    Brooks Lee I would honestly rate Lee and Jenkins 1a and 1b.     I was in Baghdad, Iraq, knee deep pulling escort duty for the US ambassador and his Blackwater security detail (in addition to some other typically boring Army duties) so I honestly don’t think I saw a moment of that season. Really missed out on that one.

    Don't disagree with you at all on saying Lopez/Gray would probably get the nod... as they were absolutely indispensable to the team (especially in the first half when the offense was so sluggish), but I think this team would look immensely different (not necessarily worse, just much different) if Castro wasn't there to just be "that guy". "That guy" isn't always the same guy every year, and how he fulfills the "that guy" role is always a little different, but on every good team he always exists. This year... that has been Castro. Doesn't necessarily mean he's the team MVP (and being MVP isn't always about having the best stats), but the boys wouldn't be in quite as good a position without him.

    I don't doubt that this is one of the many conversations that are going on behind the scenes. Paddock is a bulldog and could bring some fire and grit to the pen.

    True… but the team can petition the league for an injury replacement, which the Commish’s office will usually grant.

    Possibly. There's a lot of unknowns here still. Without any known type of criminal conviction or active investigation from Dominican authorities, USCIS is unlikely to hold up his visa. MLB likely could impose a suspension if the commissioner's office finds evidence of moral deviance even in the absence of criminal charges. There is precedence for that.

    According to Forbes, it appears to have occurred in the DR (the DR's Age of Consent is 18). Can't find any other details though.

    Ya... if I remember correctly, an unsigned pick would grant the next slot lower in the next year's draft (Pick #6 in this case). However, I'm calling it right now... Twins won't have that problem .

    Watching the game last night, I heard something about his shoulder... but didn't catch any other details.

    His write up says he just returned from TJ this last season... so we may see that get better as he puts more distance from the injury.

    Don't know why, but this reminds me of an off-hand joke my son's coach made about recruiting while he was on his official visit last year. - If you want hitters... look at kids from the south/southeast, if you want pitchers... get the kids from up north
