    The Twins better make sure they figure out EXACTLY what they have in Rooker and Gordon this year. They should be playing almost every day in the MLB from here on out to make the most informed decision for next year. No excuses....Get them up and play them now!

    #1: Microcosm of the season.... Rocco inexplicably chooses Sano to 'pinch hit' when he currently cannot hit in any scenario much less 'we really need a hit here...who can we bring in' AND .... he shockingly strikes out. #2 For anyone who thinks that it is too early to fire Rocco.... Could this team be any worse with a new manager? Nope, I didn't think so. Is there any other team waiting in the wings to swoop him up as their manager in the future? Nope, I didn't think so. The manager is absolutely responsible when and entire team is under performing. If his is not, he literally has no job description. #3 We are leading the race for #1 draft pick!!!!!!!

    It should almost be illegal to construct a team as bad as Detroit.... and they beat us. Can we all now agree that we are not having bad luck or on the cusp of a break out? We are just bad.... a serious question....not trolling... How good is the 2022 draft shaping up overall....strong?

    The team may have a -1 run differential, but the horrible bullpen and hitting with RISP completely negate this one of many wishful justifications that a bad team's performance will eventually normalize. ( When your bullpen cannot hold leads in the 8-10 innings and your batters aren't clutch hitters with RISP--relying solely on sporadic bunching of home runs-- you are going to lose more 'close' games and the games that you do win will be by a lot of runs which skew the run differential (which is what has happened) This is not bad luck. Our record very much reflects how we have played. My personal favorite is the average exit velocity that some rave about without remembering that you actually have to hit the ball to get an exit velocity. If people want to start factoring in exit velocity, better start averaging in 0s for the strike outs! The Twins have had great exit velocities this year!* *when they have actually hit the ball ....the manager deserves much more blame when an entire team is playing sloppy and without fire.

    New manager and hitting coach please.... If not, please quit taxing an already struggling bullpen by taking starting pitchers out of the game with less than 90 pitches without factoring in change in velocity or mechanics or pitcher reported fatigue Thanks

    Unfortunately, I strongly believe that not only have the killer Bs decided long ago to bet on themselves, but they have also decided long ago that they will not sign on with the Twins. I think that they both want to maximize their chances to win and added $$ opportunities outside baseball in a large market (and I think Buxton was fed up with management when there was too much input on his swing....he essentially said that he stopped listening to anyone else and went back to his way)_ Long story short..... not only will they definitely go to free agency and be offered more money elsewhere.... they also don't want to come back to the Twins. We need to accept this and maximize return...THIS SEASON

    It pains me to no end, but for the long term benefit of the team, of course he needs to be traded at peak value when there is ZERO chance we sign him in 1.5 year. The only reason not to trade him this year is if you think we could ride him to a WS win next year before losing him and that looks VERY unlikely. Again, I don't want to lose him, but we will, so it is really a question of getting max return

    This game is a microcosm for the season though. Enjoy the hell out of watching Buck, make bets with your friends about how much the Yankees are going to pay him in a couple years, and... yeah... that's about it

    Even a casual Twins fan knows that Rodgers has struggled pitching two days in a row even when he was at his best..... but Ruminating Rocco you ask? No...no he does not know that It seems obvious to give Alaca the ball in the 10th (who did not pitch yesterday) instead of Waddell (who did and got shelled). This is not hind sight being 20/20; there were people who time stamped this opinion on the game thread live time. Yes the FO should have done better with the bullpen and the lineup should hit more, but Rocco simply not a good manager. He's just not. A nice man and a smart person I'm sure, but that alone does not make a good manager.

    Good news... No Colome!!!! (so that's a start).... Bad news....YIKES! the bullpen could certainly torpedo the entire season, and fast More bad news... The delay in MiLB start has also probably delayed our ability to assess for emergency substitutions in house. I'm sure there will be a 'hot hand' or two down there but by the time we find them the season could be over! Awesome News: Buxton and Kirilloff alone will make this a worthwhile team to follow. If Cruz and Donaldson healthy....and Arraez....in support...FUN! It is a horrible realization though, that even a fully clicking line up would not be able to make up for THAT bullpen.

As I've said on other threads....He has clearly worked hard on his craft in addition to his tremendous innate skills and showing tremendous patience through the process. He is a great example to all and I will root for him the rest of his career no matter where it takes him!
