    It's funny how this site has relished facing Astros or Blue Jays in 1st round. I'm sure we would say the same if Reds were a team we could face. They are for sure going to lose 2 of 3 (which would eliminate you in the playoffs) and this lineup doesn't look very 'Winning' Hope I'm wrong and not trying to get cynical, but just upset for games we cashed in during the short season to rest guys (Only 60 Games!) Guys get hurt. Don't handle a whole roster with kids gloves. Done with rant.

    Great write up. I don't see how we can use him where every inning matters from here on out. If they do use him in anything remotely important I'll be excited because they obviously REALY see something in him now

    I'm actually for limiting the games to 7 innings. It would stop at least 1 pitching change per side in a game and most starters are only pitching 4 plus (or is that just the twins outside of Maeda? I like going to sleep near an hour earlier.

    No. The year (2006?) we swept Tigers last series to get to 163 will be hard to top

    Seth, your choice for last bat is very interesting. I initially thought Wade and no way Austudillo. Then I went Blankenhorn and finally went Austudillo. However silly having 4 catchers on the post season roster

    Since 2015, the Twins are 2-17 at Yankee Stadium That fun tidbit made me shudder. Win Out. Isn't this why we've been giving guys regular rest and extend IL time.? The time is now.

    Gardenhire was/is great. His kid (Toby) played baseball at the local college and I had a couple interactions with him (great guy and glad to see his success) but I regret not asking him to get me a signed ball from his dad. Thought it was too weird to ask him. Maybe see Toby as next Twins manager

    I love what Donaldson did. That's why he was brought here. These umps have been terrible. Hope Donaldson doesn't get suspended though. Twins will fight through it regardless

    Sorry for being a negative nancy. That lineup is not right tonight. Jake better have a piggyback after 2.2 innings if any trouble. However the bullpen is managed...Good luck. Aside from Alcala (who won't pitch) and Duffy who I'm holding my breath for...Not good. I'll stand by that statement and you can all mock me later. Gonzalez should not be in lineup (don't care about splits) Kepler needs to be dropped 6 places. I don't get it. Yes, were going post season but I'd rather play the yankees at home than on the road. thank you for your time P.S. I'm sober

    Will third Trov. Kepler has power, defensive skills, and good AB approach. This is not a year to make an assumption. Same with Rosario (although his leed may be shorter)

    You're right. I should have looked closer. Like I said, my thoughts as the game went on did not jive with the stats. I don't know wether I still have too high expectations for Berrios or need to accept him for what he is. How can I be mad with 1 run in 5ip

    Thanks. Never been to site before. There is A LOT going on there. He did have a lot of consecutive strikes, but didn't have a swinging strike/called strike back to back. Lots of fouls and balls hit into play. So the stats don't back up my thoughts which are always true

    Is there a site to see pitch-by-pitch? I'm pretty sure Berrios did not throw back-to-back strikes last night and would like to see if that was true

    it’s arguably their most important series of the year. No offense Ted, and I like your work, but as I've bitched on TD the last 2 years, stop using the adverb arguably. This is the most important series of the year. All games matter, but when it's crunch time there is no arguing THIS is the series that is most important I just get miffed at the overuse of the word. Will end rant. Thanks for the work you do.
