  1. 1991 was the greatest. If it had involved the Sox or Yankees you would hear it mentioned every year. 4 games decided in last at bat, 3 extra inning games and a pitcher going 10 innings of shutout ball in the finale? What more do you need? (Not the markets of Atlanta and Minneapolis). DiMaggio's hit streak will be broken before a pitcher throws 10 innings of shutout baseball in game 7. Also, what a short write up about the #2 game. Give some credit espn. Done ranting.
  2. Are you doing the announcing for this? If so, amazing job. I don't know how advanced games have come. I'm old
  3. I found my Korean team to root for
  4. https://www.cbssports.com/mlb/news/twins-pull-out-of-original-three-team-mookie-betts-trade-with-dodgers-red-sox-with-next-steps-uncertain/
  5. How did nobody weigh in on T.K.? I love his time in the booth. An awkward atmosphere is created, but his observations are outstanding. Sending love for Hawkins too.
  6. Just read this. Hope it gets done. I had a thought that adding defense and offense upgrade that is out there 6 days a week is more important than a an above average pitcher out once a week. I understand we need stud pitching for post season series' but that boat sailed and I believe this is a good move even with the overspend on the last 2 years
  7. No thanks, unless Boston eats a chunk of that salary (which they won't)
  8. Again, the pieces you do are great. Appreciate the effort and time. I like the pointing out the large WAR disparity between the teams last year, but then showing the jump the Twins made between '18 and '19. I don't think were going to win 100 games next year. I feel were going to be a stronger team. I know this sounds counter intuitive.
  9. Agree with 90% of OP. Well written article. My only complaint is the term 'Arguably' It's become my own personal drinking game when reading TD. It's as bad as 'Moist'
  10. I could have listened for another couple hours. You guys did a great job and would like to hear more of those. I subscribed from the beginning and can't recommend it anymore. Even a busy month costs a cup of coffee and tip at the cafe
  11. http://baseballtradevalues.com has Price valued at -60
  12. More Morneau in the booth. He's great, and I never thought that would be something he would do/be good at. He always seemed shy during his playing days. I think Morneau, Hunter, and Hawkins are a really good listen
  13. Gleeman on The Athletic ranked the top 20 Free Agent Pitchers. Odorizzi at 6 (behind Hyun-Jin Ryu, Age 33) Pineda at 8 and Gibson at 13. Granted, that's his take, but that doesn't leave much to improve with what is potentially in-house. I just don't see a Cole/Straussberg/Bumgardner in our price range. Is Wheeler our best bet?
  14. I've said before, but I appreciate your insight and effort. Just like to give props where they're due
  15. I love this kid and don't feel like in 3 years I'm going to look dumb for posting this. And yes, his defense does need to improve and I'm not concerned with his lack of power
  16. The Twins need to take their opportunities in small chunks at a time and attempt to win each inning on the path to making this a series before it’s over. I was thinking the same thing yesterday while watching football. How NFL teams break the season into quarters. This is not going to be easy. I don't think they can do it, but I'm not giving up hope after watching 140 plus games this year. My GF learned to speak Danish while I watched baseball. I need some sort of accomplishment for the almost 500 hours I devoted to this. Bigger fool me Go Twins
  17. There is nothing to save these guys for Absolutely. The end that we rested and rotated for is NOW. Managing in NYC in October NEEDS to be different than Detroit in August
  18. Didn't we knock Severino out in 2/3 of an inning 2 years ago? I know it's apples to oranges, but this team is much more talented than that one. Not to be all hippity dippity, but what's going to happen is going to happen. I think this is the closest we've been to the Yankees talent wise. This team has shown resiliancy all year. I'm a homer. Yes. I believe we can beat them. Yes As stated above and what happened in the 8th of the NL Wildcard game last night: We need to be clean in the field, limit hanging misplaced balls, and get a little RISPY. I guess this is the formula for any team, but applies directly to us. Go Twins
