    I've never seen a manager do so much with so little, yet still get bashed incessantly by the fan base for not doing more. I agree with your entire post. I would rather have a team that consistently has a chance to go to the post season, then wait through a decade to get a team that is ws caliber. Anything can happen in the post season. Gardy gets it done. what happens in a 5 game series isn't fully on the manager.

    Hard to quantify (e.g. +1) but I agree with your logic. HEALTHY for most of this season, this team wins 15 more games. Still don't feel good about our relief corps. But, fingers crossed, Baker gets healthy, Liriano returns to even year form, Blackburn shines, Pavano has one more year in him, and Marquis has another workhorse year. IF that happens the bullpen won't be exposed and that's a good thing

    Yes. Please. I understand some of the bashing he took as a Twin, but man alive, what did we/do we have that replaces what he brings to the table? This topic is just bait, and it will be embarrassing in 2015 that were still on message boards hating on Punto. He's great for what he is. A dependable utility player. Let's start a new thread: Punto=Tebow. All they do is win...haters gotta hate

    I agree with Cricket about being dissapointed with 73 wins, but Vegas is not just throwing numbers up like fans do. Our pitching is on the verge of being shambolic and we are slides and falls away from losing 1/3 of our position players. Most fans don't cringe when a fielder runs or slides hard. We do with m+m+span

    It seems more than a hitch, There's a lot of movement below the hips and doesn't seem to get steady anywhere before the swing. Odd for a large guy

    What about the Mets? Cricket is spot on. We don't know what we have. We have to trust "The Twins" As a fan, you can't pick and choose which years you choose to get behind. Love the team. It's fair to question moves made and not made, but no reason to rip on a team BEFORE a pitch has been thrown in a Spring Training game. We live in weird times

    Exactly, and with Roger talking about the negativity on this site already. Yes, we're fans and we want out team to be the best it can be. But let's give this team a little time to sort itself out. This place is going to be brutal in June...

    Not good, And a little late for a backup plan for this season. How did the Twins not recognize that a problem in January was probably going to be a problem in February? I can't wait for a month of "Mauer to 1b" gnashing

    I'll add this here A runner coming in from third on a grounder in the infield is not getting enough speed to cause a lot of harm. It's guys coming in from 2nd on a ball to the outfield which are potential trouble. Not sure why catchers don't move to the top of the plate and towards 3rd base to receive the throw and back-swipe tag with two hands as the runner comes in. I know that's an idealized view of how the play should go down, but if the pitcher or 1b is covering behind, let a bad throw that you can't make a play on go through and preserve your career. Although, aside from the two mentioned above, catchers seem to rarely get hurt. Sliding into second to break up a double play seems much more dangerous (Morneau)

    yeah, and someone said kspn is going to be making a push for her, but did you see the boston area girl and there was another whom was media savvy (ie. using her hands on every syllable.) I want real fans to win this (and I was sloppy knowledge, I said brian jones ((rolling stones)) and meant brian wilson ((beach boys)) i hope your get-together last weekend shows mlb the passion twins have for their team. I think she's sunk because of our crap season last year. hope i'm wrong, and i vote for her 10 times a day
