  1. lol ... it's really a pair of Minnesota Twins zubaz on eBay ... not shoes
  2. https://www.ebay.com/i/323814347693?chn=ps&norover=1&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-117182-37290-0&mkcid=2&itemid=323814347693&targetid=902220025644&device=c&mktype=pla&googleloc=9021721&poi=&campaignid=9344508364&mkgroupid=96003368313&rlsatarget=pla-902220025644&abcId=1139336&merchantid=6296724&gclid=CjwKCAiA-vLyBRBWEiwAzOkGVCbmj06SivBE7FOgiY5ZhbUWi_VTijavakzaOba7z_fTHAdudfpxVRoCIdMQAvD_BwE You're welcome
  3. I’ve seen some trailers for this and it intrigues me, although creepy stuff really scares me, but in a good way.
  4. Sano looks great. I’ve seen him being worked and drilled at first base and I think he’ll be fine. But ‘ran out a bloop single’ ... were we at the same game? Heh. Yeah, a bloop hit to short left-center that dropped in where no one could get to it, nor make a play ... he wasn’t running hard and didn’t have to ‘run out’ anything. But, he did run well and hard in the following plays to score the first run of the game. He tagged up and ran from 2nd to 3rd on a fly to center. And when the fielder threw to 3rd base, it allowed Adrianza to tag up and get to 2nd. Good running moves.
  5. The other day I saw Jeffers in the cages working with someone, and Donaldson was adding a comment or two.
  6. I’m confused by your criteria? Eligibility requires: 1. Anybody who’s not on the 40-man roster, regardless of prior MLB experience. 2. Anyone who hasn’t made their MLB debut. Doesn’t the second requirement contradict the first requirement, or are those requirements 1. OR 2.?
  7. Mom and I just had a dog and took in the sights and sounds of baseball, bought some tickets to a future game, then went to Sun Harvest to cash in on our 2 for 1 ice cream, but the line was too long so we’ll try another day.
  8. Sorry you won’t be able to make your trip! If you want greater exposure for trying to sell your tickets, feel free to also post this in the Twins Talk forum.
  9. This is awesome! Welcome!
  10. I live in near south Chicago ... an easy bike ride or two stops on the L away from the Sox park. I’ve never had any issue with fans at the game. Most know their team and the sport so conversation is usually pretty easy; and there are usually plenty of Twins fans at the games, too, so I don’t feel completely outnumbered. Of course, even though I live in Chicago, I’m a visitor when I go to games and behave accordingly. But being in the Midwest and in a city with a rival division team, I still see plenty of games. But I do miss the local coverage and having a local spot to watch games. TD is great at bridging that gap, and game threads have become my local sports bar. Kenny Williams lived in my building for a couple years and had a parking space next to mine. I do wonder if he ever noticed the Twins bumper sticker on my car.
  11. You need to get your name updated to WATwinsFan!
  12. Well, when you answer ‘A’ for all the questions to hedge your bets, that’s what happens!
  13. I’m not sure about the $108, but I saw tix $9 to $31
  14. So everyone is up on the full conversation of this proposal, there is a 2nd thread here on this subject: http://twinsdaily.com/topic/36344-proposed-playoff-expansion-with-a-reality-tv-twist/
  15. ST has been a ‘must do’ in my calendar for a long time, and I tell any baseball fan, it’s a ‘must do’ experience at least once in a lifetime, more if you can manage it. My first ST was in 1991. After a handful, I missed going ‘98-00. Since 2001, I haven’t missed. I have never been for longer than a week or two ... I still have a full time job ... but it’s always a highlight for this baseball fan.
  16. Seth asked, ‘What more could he do?’ And this is a good answer. Some gesture like this could go a long way. I don’t know him so will take him at face value and believe he is truly sorry.
  17. Yes, the leaked medicals and how it was characterized is on them. Of course, the press is going to have their say, but to the extent the press went at it was Boston up and down. And then they walked it back a bit with a statement saying ‘They didn’t think he could be a starter based on his medicals’ but that was still too much to say publicly as it just fueled it all even more. They could have left much of that quiet, and didn’t. Graterol didn’t need to be called ‘damaged goods’ ... while that characteristic was media generated, it got its start from how Boston handled the halt of the trade. They could have and should have handled it differently, imo. But then still wanting him along with another top 10 from our system? Seriously? That was laughable. You can defend them all you want and we will remain in disagreement. I don’t think it was cold feet, just poorly managed. I couldn’t say exactly by whom, because I don’t know what exactly was happening internally.
  18. Can’t answer the cold feet thing, because that wasn’t my claim. But I do think it was all handled poorly, even upon conclusion of both deals.
  19. The first time I heard that name, I was ‘Who the heck is Jordy Blaze?’ That thought likely came at 11:16am and not the brilliant hour of 11:16pm
  20. Well, I do do my best thinking at night so it’s possible I could get hit with brilliance
  21. I think it’s funny that Boston fans will have to cheer on someone named Jeter.
  22. Those rumors were in addition to, not instead of, but it was Boston’s ask and the Twins rightfully said no
