  1. Moderator warning: if you don’t want to address and talk about the subject presented, then don’t. If all you want to do is name call and generally grouse about what wasn’t done, start your own thread or, better yet, write your own blog. You can disagree with the writer, but present your own thoughts beyond penny pinching comments.
  2. Moderator reminder: This thread is about Graterol’s role next season. Please keep your comments directed that way. Thanks.
  3. If the plan is for Graterol, how would that look for you? As a starter, primary or relief pitcher? Does he open here or get more time in Rochester? Do you think a pitch limit should be on this year? Just a reminder that this thread is to discuss what role you think Graterol should/will have this season and not a general session on who the Twins didn’t get and why. There are other threads for that, so let’s keep at least one thread on track and not devolve as others have. Thanks.
  4. Just saw ‘Bombshell.’ Very good ... but not much I will say in the subject matter so I don’t take this thread off track. Worth seeing.
  5. This off-season, so far, has been very impactful in its impactlessness. I hope I’m not saying that come April, but I’m not turning blue from holding my breath, either.
  6. So then, do you want Graterol as a starter only or reliever only, in the majors or in AAA? If Graterol is on a pitch limit, being a starter or a stacker is an option. I’m not sold on the whole starter idea, either, but it could be a good way to utilize Graterol if he’s on a limit or to get him stretched by gradually increasing innings.
  7. Moderator warning: please stop this back and forth about Bumgarner. The thread topic is ‘What now?’ Please move forward and past what we didn’t get and get back to topic of this thread.
  8. That’s fair ... so you’re saying that we are at the end of the road and what’s next is nothing?
  9. This is all I was trying to do. We have too many threads gone off down the path of who the Twins didn’t get, expressing anger and frustration. And I’m not saying that those feelings aren’t justified ... but we don’t need to dump all over every thread. Let’s keep one on track ... what do we do now? And maybe there just isn’t much else to say, in that case I’d suggest a blog if needs still exist to release these emotions rather than derailing every thread with ... cheap, we never get, they could’ve had comments. Let’s keep ONE thread on track ... so, what’s next? If you don’t think they will do anything else, then there isn’t much to say that adds to this particular discussion thread.
  10. As I said in my first post in this thread, that’s my hope. What would it take to get him? Do we bankrupt the farm for him? Last summer it was never just Buxton, straight up, they wanted Lewis and/or Kirilloff, too, from my understanding. What do you think it will take and is it worth it? Do we give up how many of our top 10 prospects? I think we have enough to make it happen, and I think it’s worth it, but I don’t know what exactly the right combination would be.
  11. Okay, I’ll say to you what I just said above ... the should’ve, would’ve, could’ve options are gone. This isn’t a thread about bemoaning all things owners and salary caps, etc. what’s next in this off season? What is your plan to move forward? What are the next steps for the Twins?
  12. This thread isn’t about ‘would have’. That ship has sailed, for whatever real or imagined reasons, those ‘would have’ options are off the table. So ... what does Mike Sixel do now? What is your plan moving forward? What options do the Twins have next and what do you want them to do now?
  13. I’m waiting for spring training. I will give them that amount of time to do what they said they would. If they don’t, then their idea of the window of opportunity being wide open is very different from mine. It’s going to cost them way more than money to do it, too, but that’s what it’s going to take, because I’m thinking Syndegaard. Yeah, I’m hoping way too big.
  14. I'm not sure any of those are the ones we need to step forward. Buxton was doing fine, until ... we just need him to stay on the field. But I guess that could be considered a step forward if he manages to do that. Kep? Wow ... I think that's asking a lot, but he could ... if Bux stays healthy and Kepler can stay in one position and do what he does, he might move forward another step. If Berrios stays strong all season, I'll take that. But I'm looking for steps forward from others ... I'd like to see Rosario keep his momemtum all season and I'd like to see Odo take a big step ... maybe have his starts go one more inning and stay sharp.
  15. Moderator note (and this is to everyone despite my quote of one poster): I know some of us are frustrated, disappointed, among other things ... but please let's discuss the topic at hand and not use every thread to express general frustration, disappointment and other things. If a topic doesn't interest you, we have many, many others available for your input. Blogs are great places for open expression ... just sayin' ... it's a good place to write out your thoughts. And TD has some great blogs. Yours could be among them. Thank you.
  16. Moderator note: This article and thread are about Royce Lewis. I appreciate bringing some others into the discussion for comparison's sake, but let's not take the tangent road and please keep this discussion on Royce Lewis. If you want to discuss Cavaco, or any other player for that matter, you are more than welcome to start a thread in the Minor League forum or write a blog. Thank you.
  17. In past years, we could always order whatever was on the menu. It's not part of the ticket, but is an extra cost you incur.
  18. No, this was my fault ... I broke it ... Ted's article on the FO ... the comments on the front page are broken. But this one on Astudillo is fine. But you can comment on Ted's article in the forum, just not from the home page.
  19. Hahahahaha ... I'm laughing at this because of an inside joke with a friend ...
