  1. Comrade try posting tomorrow 'What if Mauer stops hitting?'
  2. So who has innings 3-8 tomorrow? Tonkin and Kintzler?
  3. I agree with the sentiment, but when have we ever taken a failed staring pitcher and made something out of him by tweaking his delivery or teaching him a new pitch? That one time with Carl Pavano? The year when Phil Hughes was magically throwing 94? I say don't trade anyone if it's the same guy making the trades.
  4. This is what I was thinking- the next level of losing --double blown saves
  5. Can he be brought back for Hughes' spot? My goodness.
  6. I think the Dozier 3 Plouffe 4 is a directive from TR to make sure they are in a position to get the token RBI groundouts to build their trade value
  7. Yes I'm waiting for Hughes' 'shoulder strain' to be announced any day
  8. Despite some recent mental mistakes, I think Sano is an easy guy to root for and I see this becoming his team in the next year.
  9. I love what Rosario did last year, but unfortunately I think he does too. I like this idea to see if it will humble the 'I'm too cool for school' look off of his face
  10. I enjoy this report. I think a lot of the unsuccessful outings were critical and led directly to losses - May's spiked curveballs and Pressly's home run stand out to me beside Jepsen.
  11. Hughes might be worth a shot - he worked in relief with NYY, and could maybe get back up to 93 mph if working relief. And we would get to hear about how he has that bulldog mentality that a closer needs.
  12. Calling any of them but Mauer, Nunez, and maybe Sano - 'hitters' is quite a stretch. Position players.
  13. Can someone just do something
  14. Maybe we're going to trade for another catcher. AJ? How low can JRM's batting avg get?
  15. Actually Milone might be a good bullpen addition given his BAA disparity on 1st time through lineup against 2nd/3rd times
  16. It would make sense with Ozzie hitting that Kepler would go down
  17. Murphy seems to be better at framing pitches too. If neither hits I say at least play Murphy for defense
  18. I love how he faked out the relief pitcher for his RBI single - questioning the umpire on the other strikes, daring the pitcher to throw one more outside then depositing it into left field.
  19. I remember when he HAD TO BE a starter
  20. technically he went up the middle
  21. Can we please discuss re-organizing the front office if we start 0-28.
  22. I agree. What is a 'free swinger'? An undisciplined young player unaware of the pitcher, the pitches he can throw in the situation of the game. I don't know how you develop that discipline - perhaps its just by experience thus the awful growing pains.
