  1. Sound is ahead of the video--- for a while there, I thought I could hear the future!! 😱
  2. I switched to Sox broadcast, somehow even they get the sound right. "Twins TV." What a joke! 🤡
  3. Wow! I bunk off to a class, and what happened upon my return?!? Actual BASEBALL being played by the Twins?!? Maybe today won't suck after all...
  4. Welp, we need Jeff to torpedo one right about now...
  5. At least the Sox fans can keep warm by clapping their hands for good things.
  6. Wait a minute!! How did we get TWO hits?!? Now I can't use that other Bob Uecker clip! 🫤
  7. I was so gassed to check in this morning, and we had TWO guys on base!! TWO! At the same time!!!! 🤓 Little did I know, that's probably all we're gonna get today, with "Cy" Smith on the mound and "Babe" Benintendi at the bat.
  8. Just fired up the computer and saw that we already got 1 hit!!! In the first inning!! So, things are looking up, right? Is this our game thread, by the way? 🤔
  9. Heh.... Kinda funky that the ex-Twinkies Perez and MAT came back to bite us in the @$$! 😅
  10. I'm feeling a little like Flounder in Animal House, listening to the Twinkie hype-- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MYQCb3qrBpo
  11. I had totally gapped out that he was a Twin for a time. Only knew him as the barrel-chested (and beer-bellied) Sox coach for many years. Making all those trips from the dugout to the mound should have kept him a bit more svelte in those days, though, no? 😅
  12. Oh, gee, it looks like the Tigers have been hit with a CF injury bug- and look what happened.... 🤭 https://www.blessyouboys.com/2025/3/23/24392300/detroit-tigers-news-manuel-margot-mlb-free-agents-milwaukee-brewers-parker-meadows-wenceel-perez
  13. Jeepers, I hope the stache didn't get in his eyes when he tried to snaffle the shortstop's grounder last game. Paid the price, too, didn't he. 6 and a half feet of shortstop is a load to run into.
  14. Golly, you think we could get Margot back from the Brewers? 🤔 Geez Louise, the guy has access to umpteen physios on staff, and makes untold millions per year. Between all of 'em, they can't get a freakin' yoga instructor to get himself flexible enough to play baseball? If you've had soft-tissue issues Every. Single. Year, maybe take some kind of proactive attitude towards it? Come on, man!
  15. He's the first guy I thought of. McCusker's got that Richie Sexon prototype size, too. Or maybe Eeles..... 😅
  16. The Myth of Topa will go down in the canon along with the Ghost of Mahle and the Fable of DiSclafani...
  17. What a great story! Is there anything more magical than being a kid with those giant-sized heroes right before your eyes? Omg, you were AT that game! As a son of ND dirt-farmers, I could only imagine from what I heard on the radio- These days, heck, I don't remember what I had for lunch yesterday, but I still remember that warm summer day on the plains, and Herb Carneal's call, Reese pinch-hitting for Kaat. (Lefty-lefty matchup, yo!) "It's hit high in the air toward DEEP center field (me thinking it was gonna be a loud out). Buford going back....... Grand slam for Reese!" And just like that, the hated Orioles were vanquished, and McNally's streak was over. We'd re-enact that scene over and over out there in the yard, echoing that call each time. Thanks, Al, for posting this, and allowing a sweet recollection over the miles and years. ⚾
  18. My man DaShawn gets outta the gate as the early leader for the Sire title. It's just criminal how this org. has treated some of the younger talent like him. And now, he's not so young anymore. He looks all the world like a real ballplayer. Eeles, too- only seen glimpses of him here and there, but he also looks like a gamer. But hey, let's just sign some MLB re-treads, and just hand them Margot-level at bats.
  19. "... the shabby?!?" That's me all over! Plus, I've never hunted my fellow man for sport! I volunteer! 👋
  20. I'm hoping to be surprised. Seems like we can say that about a whole bunch of Twinkie hopefuls. *cough* Ty France *cough* Bader *cough* etc....
  21. ---Whomever the Sire winds up to be, the best news of the year was posted at the bottom of a Strib article: "• Twins owner Joe Pohlad arrived at camp Saturday and observed the team’s workout. It’s likely Pohlad’s final spring in charge of the Twins, as his family explores selling the franchise." Huzzah!
  22. I'm gonna go with DaShawn slightly over Mr. Eeles. And I'll wager 1,000! (Thai Baht left over from the last trip to Chiang Mai).
