    Heh... I grew up on Herb, Halsey, Ray, (and sometimes the other Ray). Those guys were the soundtrack to so many summers. Bremer was a worthy successor, but since he left, it's like a void. The Seattle guys today- great stuff- professional, astute, humorous, homer-esque, but called things fairly. Knew when the umps stiffed the Twins on calls, too.

    I gotta concur. I always have the oppo broadcast team on, unless it's Tampa. Cory's toiled in the vineyards and paid his dues over the years, but he's no every day MLB play by play guy. Always sounds to me like some guy who won a contest.

    True dat. I don't see his name in the prelim stuff, and that's really disappointing. Maybe they're keeping him with the Saints to chase their HR record, eh? Good grief, I agree, tough RHP on the mound, he needs to be in that lineup! Lee to 3B, Castro to 2B, and swap Lewis and Wallner in St. Paul.

    It's true, though. It's a terrible tragedy what happened in that storm, but my goodness that was a hateful place to watch ball, and it seemed like 11,000 was a dream for a crowd size for them. The Dome had its quirks, but I can't even imagine playing in that dark, depressing place that was the Trop.
